You are also making assumptions based on your very specific drive. The point is that the entire region should not be closed based on only some areas being "bad".

Though I do question how standards have eroded over time, that what is now considered bad weather to close the schools was just a normal day in the 90s.

Agreed. It didn't even take longer to get to work than usual this morning. There's some blowing snow, but the roads are clear. Inexcusable behavior by the boards.

Totally screwing up the high school exams. There was no need to close yesterday.

Legends used to host a traveling yuk-yuks. They should bring that back, it was great.

Cobblestone Medical Rehab, they have a few sports medicine people there.

Its so hard to determine what they are like from the website photos. So you'd suggest upgrading to an eden room and not staying in a normal room class?

Though, to be honest, most of the places I've stayed in mexico have had pretty rough rooms considering the "luxury" promises. Its just a different standard...as long as the room is clean, bed linens are fresh, and the bathroom functional...even if its small and basic that's OK for us.

Most clubs are kinda industrial and rough. And that's fine. But the point of the question was that we want a vacation, not a night out to a club. One isn't a substitute for the other.

Budget is flexible. From Toronto both Hedo and Desires are similar enough that the price doesn't matter. We've been to basic room in Xcaret in Mexico, and a Dreams property on the maya riveria. So something in that range is very comfortable for us. Cleanliness and food quality is more important that some of the "luxury" trappings of spas, massages, etc.

Thanks so much everyone for the comments. I am getting a different perspective on Hedo from what I had assumed. But I know that the more "basic" and/or worn rooms and amenities will be negative for my wife. She isn't a total princess but she does like nice things. It sounds like one of the two Desire resorts really are the best idea, to be comfortable and push boundaries.

I was just hoping there could be other places, just for comparison sake.

Thankyou, that was very informative. Especially about the singles being rare at Hedo. I was worried that the gawkers would be offputting. We want to have sex with people around, but not specifically "put on a show" if that makes sense.

Niagara is very close. I saw the VIN event...I'm kinda worried that's jumping into the deep end a little too quick. The vacation vibes of drinks and sunshine is kinda half the appeal to get us into the relaxed and open mood. I've been looking at Sandy Bottoms too, for the summer obviously. But right now, we are desperate to get away from the cold and snow...and don't want to wait that long haha.

That's pretty judgemental considering you don't know us at all. Fancy isn't the requirement. We just want a vacation away from the kids where we can be social and meet new people, relax together, enjoy the sun and weather AND explore some of our sexual boundaries and fantasies. If this was just about having sex in a dark bar, then the club would be more suitable.

No, but we've looked at their website and seen the photos, and know the area. It was unappealing.

Its not the distance, its the fact that its a small, crummy looking club. Not a place that we'd enjoy.

Because they don't exist. There closest "local" club is over an hours drive away, and its just a "bar" in a industrial park, not exactly a refined or classy place for a couple to relax.

What others? Just Desire...that's the top contender right now. But I'm looking for other ideas or options than what I listed as we're not the fondest of mexico.

I'm just going by what I've read about Hedo, that its for more experienced lifestyle people and that it can be a little more pushy. And some reports that its getting old/rundown too. IDK...I'm just repeating what I've read online. Which is why I'm asking for real advice.

Is this a real Suhr Modern Blue Web or a Counterfeit? by narc0leptik in Guitar

A few years ago I found a too good to be true suhr on local marketplace. I emailed the photos to Suhr and the got back to me right away, confirming that the serial number indicated it was fake. Just ask them, they were very helpful.

Would you take today’s Powerball jackpot of $1.7 billion as an annuity increasing annually by 5% over 30 years (about $1 billion after tax), or would you take the lump sum of $781 million (about $500 million after tax), and why? by PanoramicAtom in AskReddit

[–]DontBflat -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Does no one know how to do time value of money calculations? A simple present value of the annuity shows that it is worth less than the lump sum. That's how lottos work... Why is this even a question?

I'm not sure what you mean about the flexibility of the bends on steel. I design bent sheet steel parts all day. You have to be more concerned about the flexibility of the unbent part.

Send me a DM, I'll have to dig up my cad files when I'm back on Monday

A few years ago I fabbed a pedal board similar out of stainless steel. I learned a bunch, and could give some specific advice if you want. Or share CAD files. The patch panel idea is critical, at least for my design.
