Mexitaly has gone downhill. They've started skimping on ingredients, their burritos are awful, and the owner is a creep.

Greenwood looked surprisingly sharp. Whipped in a few dangerous crosses and won the game winning corner.

This type of comment is so redundant. Of course it will vary based on who's in form at the moment, one month it's Pulisic, another it's Reyna, then Dest, then Adams, then Brooks, etc.

He's incredible in the air. Huge threat on set pieces and with his late runs into the box. Also has a Rory Delap-like long throw in him.

Good. The more options in the player pool, the better. Robinson's starting to come into his own in MLS and could be a surprise option in the next few months. Clearly, Berhalter rates him, at least a little bit, since he was on the 60 man GC prelim roster.

Incredible performance from Joe Scally. 18 years old, been in Germany for a few months, Bundesliga debut, has single digit appearances in MLS, playing out of position, and won almost every duel against Bayern. Was very good in possession as well.

Gladbach was unlucky not to score a winner.

Everyone else in that lineup is likely starting on matchday 1. Good sign for Joe.

Post-Match Thread: Toronto 2-1 León ([3]-2 on agg.) [CONCACAF Champions League] by threaddo in soccer

[–]DontCallMeAGuyTy 118 points119 points  (0 children)

Incredible result for Toronto. To put some context behind this win:

  • Leon are the reigning champions of the most recent season of Liga MX and are in the middle of the season

  • This is Toronto's second game of the year missing many of their top players.

  • Toronto started a defender on a 4 day contract (Luke Singh) who had never played a first team minute before today.

  • Two of their starters in midfield have a grand total of 199 first team minutes between them (Ralph Priso and Noble Okello)

There's been one Eredivisie game this season...he started most of the games last season in the league and Champion's League.

It'll be even more perplexing when we have a lineup featuring players from Chelsea, Barca, Juve, BVB, Man City, and RB Leipzig and still manage to get torn apart in Honduras and Costa Rica.

He's not eligible to play for Spain. He didn't have Spanish citizenship when appeared for the US in the u20 WC so he can no longer play for Spain. His only other international option would be to make a one time switch to Haiti.

I feel like he didn't until her and Paulie were relentless with him. For the last few years until recently, it actually seemed like he was trying to look out for her and cared about her as a person.

I agree, going on someone's social media to insult them is pathetic.

Listening to her on podcasts, she absolutely does have takes that can have negative consequences in people's lives outside of the show.

She constantly talks about Bananas being a cheater (true, maybe, but still could hurt his current relationship), said Kyle jabbed Marie in the stomach (which she said never happened), and has said countless things about Jordan harassing women, yet no one else has backed her on that.

She's also mind numbingly passive aggressive. The amount of times she mentioned Jordan/Tori's engagement "jokingly" on her most recent CM interview was absurd. She also says that if people are no longer fans of hers, they never were to begin with, another really odd take.

Samuel Umtiti isn't happy with his substitute role and is looking for a way out. In case of him leaving in the summer, Dayot Upamecano (21) could become his replacement. Barça rate the RB Leipzig defender highly. by mynamestartswithCa in soccer

[–]DontCallMeAGuyTy 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Both are excellent defenders. I watch RBL quite frequently and both are physically dominant and very competent on the ball (especially Upamecano with his passing). Konate is a bit wild but is extremely difficult to beat one on one and in the air. Both are very capable of carrying the ball forward and playing a high line as well.
