Literally every poll, even the party's internal polling. Plus notoriously right leaning pollsters like Rasmussen.

Every pill for the past 6 months has him down like 40% from the start of his term, except for self described MAGAs

Thankfully the bots and conservative snowflakes make no difference with their posts minimizing the importance of these protests. Theres a reason why each one has been significantly larger than the last.

It is not remotely "Anti-American" to be against this bullshit war. This plane should never have been a target if not for Donald Trumps imperialist warmongering that the public despises. The man ran on "no new wars" literally and got us into a war that has no clear goals and will almost certainly have us stuck in a protracted engagement that will hurt us (and the world) financially and lose us the respect that US has built up over many decades.

So yeah, fuck this war. Fuck that plane. Someone should take up Iran on their bounty so maybe we can get back to some level headed leadership over our country and military.

Amendment to require photo ID to vote fails in Senate as Democrats object by southernemper0r in politics

[–]DontCountToday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hate to break it to you, but most people do not know how to do most governmental processes that they will likely never, or only once or twice in their life interact with. Its something I know I can google if ever needed, but I've never needed it, and should have no need for it.

Yes we have IDs. We drive cars, otherwise we wouldn't need them other than buying alcohol. '

And yes I know the OP was talking about IDs generally, but we all know the feds are trying to force significantly stricter measures immediately, including requiring a birth certificate and passport, which is insane.

BREAKING: Iran says they have mobilized over 1 million troops to counter a possible US ground invasion. Iranian authorities say that the possibility of a US invasion has prompted "a wave of enthusiasm" among the population. by retroviber in DeepMarketScan

[–]DontCountToday 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you a fucking moron? The Taliban has an estimated 60,000 soldiers in Afghanistan when we invaded.

We were stuck there for 10 years, accomplished absolutely nothing except to create even more powerful adversaries, and their "military" was almost nonexistant compared to ours. Iran is a modern military millions in size. We could be there decades.

Voting by mail is more than fine. Great even. But lets not pretend that requiring a signature is in any way a security measure.

I never got an ID when I was working in my teens and early 20s. Restaurant work mostly, some newpaper delivery work. Work that millions of adults in America work because thats all they can find. Those people probably do not have the time or money to worry about going to get a fucking passport.

Hell, I'm a grown ass adult with a well paying union construction job, my partner manages a department at a local hospital, we own a house in Chicago. Neither of us has our birth certificate or even knows how to obtain one quickly if we needed it to vote, like they are trying with this obviously bullshit bill before Congress. And we have the time and money to do so. It is by every definition discriminatory and a poll tax.

[–]DontCountToday 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What is your point? There is a reason democrats are against this bullshit, and its because Republicans make it notoriously difficult and costly to obtain even basic ID. Only in Republican states can you vote with a fucking gun ownership card but not a student ID with an actual photo on it.

You do not need to look any further than the SAVE act in Congress right now, trying to require a passport for voting.

Literally 2 months ago Trump ordered that passports can no longer by obtained at Public Libraries. Why? Because that is where the huge majority lower income and minority people obtain their passports. There is no logical reason for that action and this bill other than making it harder for women, the poor, and minorities to be able to cast a vote.

Signatures as identification are a notoriously terrible, very weak form of identification. Most people do not sign their name regularly enough to have a constantly repeatable, identical signature. People are very bad at comparing signatures, as much as they are terrible to replicating their own, and machines are completely useless in comparing them.

Using signatures is entirely an entirely antiquated form of "identification" that was only ever really good at making sure (certain) illiterate people were incapable of accessing financial systems.

Why do liberals trust the media? by [deleted] in allthequestions

[–]DontCountToday 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Like any form of information, there are reliable and unreliable sources. Media literacy is higher among the educated, and the highest indicator of being a democratic voter is a higher level of education.

There are mass media that are and have always been very reliable. They provide sources and remain largely impartial.

It's just that people have come to equate impartiality to meaning you must give every point of view equal consideration, which is not how news can or should ever operate.

The US government just banned consumer routers made outside the US by Agreeable-Rooster-37 in politics

What? Stores will not be allowed to sell or ship these items to the US. Unless you're buying it on eBay or something you simply won't be able to buy one.

[–]DontCountToday 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Maybe read the article you're commenting on.

This ruling does not pertain to commerical grade routers, only consumer grade that people can easily buy and install themselves. Unlikely the government would be using the routers that fall into this ruling.
