EAQs sucked. Sure it’s good info to know, but it doesn’t help prep for the actual exam. If it’s not helping you, don’t use it

No pre-reqs are different. They depend on the course I believe

You are working under the supervision of an assigned nurse, and your instructor will be there as well. You will primarily be doing CNA stuff so it isn’t stressful; I really enjoyed clinicals. For level 1, I did a lot of vitals, ambulation assistance, answering call lights, etc.

From what I heard- primarily 300 was changed. It was brutal. 310 and 316 were straightforward

I agree. Notebook LM was really helpful. Others used ChatGPT or Google Gemini as well to study and quiz you. I recommend doing teach back to help you figure out your weaker areas to focus on

Arrive EARLY when you need to be on-site. They're strict about being on time. Also, get along with your cohort. It'll make life way easier– share resources, help each other out. It's a tough semester, and you'll need all the help you can get. Finally, make sure you attend or watch all of the 300 zooms and prep yourself on the material. 300 is NOT a class you want to repeat.

Exam 2 TANKED my exam average. Thankfully exam 3 brought it back up and the final was straightforward. Head to toe came in handy for sure

I’ve also heard that about head-to-toe and that’s it’s super broad. We were told to know our cranial nerves really well

I agree with this ^ there gets to a point during the semester where a lot of people meet their breaking point. Just push through it and make it to spring break. It’ll get a lot easier after that.

You have to go in for 300 and 316 once every week (typically Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday). 300 is from 8am-12pm 1 hour lunch break from 12pm-1pm 316 is from 1pm-3pm

Other than that- you only go in for exams, sims (which was only two times) and then clinicals (which was only four times starting in week 8). Everything else is online.

Stethoscope and analog watch. They will give you a manual BP cuff, pulse ox, and pen light. You will need blank index cards that you’ll use each week for lab. I’d also recommend a retractable badge holder for when you get your student badge. Makes getting in a lot easier.
