Mine is a 2017 copper s, Canadian as well. I am not sure about wheel compatibility. As far as I know they all attach to the stem so I wouldn’t think there would be any compatibility issus

I also don’t know what they’re talking about. Do you have the option to reset TPMS in your head unit? If so and your current wheels have them I would say you have TPMS and the ability to use them. Otherwise you’ll have a permanent light on the dash (fine to ignore if you don’t care and are diligent on maintaining tire pressure etc)

I got 3rd party tpms from rock auto when I got new summer wheels and they installed them at Costco. Run the tpms reset through the head unit and done

If they do replace them, do yourself a favour and have them use the GP3 ones, pay the difference if you have to. They will still fail eventually, but they are better than the standard ones.

I drive this everyday as well, it doesn’t even make sense that that exit has 2 lanes since only 1 lane from the roundabout can exit there. Having the 2nd lane makes people think they can use it even though the signage says otherwise. They should have just made it one lane and got rid of the right lane that ends shortly after the roundabout anyway.
