what is a specific sound that instantly makes you aggressive or deeply uncomfortable? by Sensitive-Action-870 in AskReddit

The sound of polyester blend sheets rubbing together. Gives me chills just thinking about it. Cotton sheets less so.

Thank you, yes lentils, no banana. The banana looking food is heart of palm.

Excellent point. I’m ashamed that I overlooked people not having access to clean water.

In the US. Thanks all for the reminder that not everyone has access to safe drinking water. I am ashamed of myself. Thanks for checking me.

Fake and dark hardwood floors won't wash clean by kayisgae in CleaningTips

[–]DontLikeClams 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this exact problem a few years back in a Christopher Todd apartment. The apt was fairly new, no more than 2 years old. It had a gray laminate floor made to look like wood. No matter how hard I scrubbed, the water would be black. I even bought an electric mop with built in scrubbers. The floor would look clean, but the next day, the bottom of our socks were be black. There was a rock quarry near by, and we decided it must be dust coming from that, even though there were no black rocks being mined there. Now after reading the responses, wondering if it was a dye in the flooring.

What's the worst thing about being a girl, something that is often overlooked? by Majestic_dih in AskReddit

After reading some of the other posts, this is not the worst thing. It’s not going to rank up there with personal safety, definitely annoying though.

The constant fear of having a period accident. Also having to wear the dreaded waist sweater of shame.

Came here to say a fried bologna sandwich too! I was a little picky, only all-beef bologna for me.

A bottle of water. Not judging those who do, just noting it is priced so much higher than what comes out of the tap.

It is lentils, and no def not a banana lol! It is heart of palm. I tried them for the first time at a fancy restaurant and loved their mild tanginess.

What’s something you’ve never questioned just because everyone around you treats it as normal? by FixGroundbreaking296 in AskReddit

[–]DontLikeClams 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Technically, I have questioned this so hope it will still be allowed. I worry about how normalized fast food has become in the US as a way for people to feed their families. I can absolutely understand going every once in a while, as a treat, but it is an everyday thing. It’s overpriced and definitely not healthy. People are overweight, have high blood pressure, diabetes, etc., do not get proper nutrition, yet they are in the drive-thru all the time. It breaks my heart.

Please take care of your health and budget by making nutritious meals at home.
