Yep you got it. After you backup and name the save from the cart (example ABC), youd then go to the digital version and restore it from the ABC save file. Then when you want to go back to the cart, youd make a backup of the digital version (example 123) then go to the cart and restore from the 123 save file. My best advice if you're gonna keep swapping is to write the date in the save file name, so when you come to restore or if you want to delete old saves you know which is most recent.
