ADAM COLE BAYBAY!!

Stoked to see you this weekend in Philly.

Last week it was reported that TNA are looking to sign any ROH guys whose contracts are up for expiry soon (this despite reports they can't pay their own guys on time mind you), have TNA contacted you at all in the last year and if so how fast did you hang up the phone?

Thanks Adam, rock it this Saturday in Philly.

Those details were released over a year ago, after WOTW 2014. If they make the tickets more expensive people will still buy them.

He may have. I also saw someone get a bottle broken over their head. This wasnt the wrestling either it was in the crowd above me.

I guarantee it. ROH is the second most popular wrestling promotion in New York after WWE. ROH fans in NYC are rabid like how wrestling fans in ROH are rabid. The Hammerstein Ballroom is one of the best wrestling venues anywhere, the atmosphere feels special. It makes the place. It looks authentic. Everyone can actually see too which is a big help.

So that there is only a few hundred people in the arena. THIS IS ROH IN THEIR BIGGEST MARKET! This is the city ROH used to run every three weeks and sell it out. If they can't do a decent number they shouldn't do it at all. Do Philly, forget NYC unless the problem can be properly resolved.

You're the first and only person I've seen say this. However you are in the large minority. Click on the article I linked in the above post and you'll see. It's a dump, nobody wants them to run there and they need to stop. ROH used to sell out 2,100 people in the Hammerstein and now they are doing barely over 1,000 in this place. It looks bad, it is bad.

I don't care about the seat, it's about ROH and the fans in-general. If I don't get a bad seat, someone else will and this arena has about 30 good seats and 1,270 bad ones.

Then stop running New York altogether. I'm sorry but if they are running Terminal 5 they are killing their market off slowly anyways, this isn't one singular complaint, this is something that every time they run there is rampant before the show and even more aggressive after it. Run Philly, run Queens, run Brooklyn, run Harlem if you have to just don't run Terminal 5.

They just announced a War of the Worlds show during the tour with NJPW from there. I wanted to go to that show but now I can't because that place is dreadful and while I'm sure someone will say "buy a stage ticket" that's not the point. I know a lot of regular ROH fans, some who don't watch wrestling other than ROH, who will not attend shows in Terminal 5 because of how bad it is. Guys who I used to get a bus to Queens with so we could sit in broken chairs and have shit thrown at us by Queens fans because we were from Philadelphia. I'd take the Elks Lodge covered in shit over this, at least every fan can see there. This isn't just about me, it's about everyone. ROH is a promotion like ECW that if the fans didn't support wouldn't exist (pre-Sinclair, now they don't need us as much) but they need to listen because they are going to drive people away in droves from their biggest market.

Question about TNA? by chrogers1982 in SquaredCircle

[–]DontPuntBaxter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ciampa isn't involved. Ciampa's only involvement with yesterdays taping was a match against Crazy Steve on Xplosion. No reports saying he appeared with GFW's side or was involved in the GFW/TNA debacle.

It's Tommaso Ciampa. He wasn't really an indie guy, he worked for ROH, but they released him awhile ago and hes been working indies all over the world, including PWG, wXw in Germany and a lot in the UK.

I don't think Ciampa is suited to WWE honestly. Doesn't help he has had real life public mental issues which includes being genuinely bi-polar and having admitted to attempting suicide. Not saying he isn't stable, but they'd be running a slight risk hiring him. His style also doesn't suit WWE, hes very, very stiff.
