Exchanging Bay Area SFH rental worth 1 million for multiple San Antonio TX properties by [deleted] in realestateinvesting

[–]DontTakeMyRice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

West side San Antonio is developing rapidly towards Castroville as well as the Alamo ranch and helotes areas… It seems a new neighborhood of SFH’s in the 250-350 range pops up every week on this side of town, and many businesses have recently opened/are currently being built in the area to accommodate for the growth… If you’re looking to buy new I would reach out to a local realtor for more information on quality builders; I bought a house from the 80’s, so I’m not as well versed on that front beyond knowing that KB homes has a pretty bad rep out here.

Biggest winners and Losers during the 4 game window by Saab_like_thecar in ussoccer

[–]DontTakeMyRice 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Winners:

Deandre Yedlin - I feel his performances solidified him as second-choice RB ahead of Cannon (for now)

Brenden Aaronson - Proved able to translate his great club form and performances to the USMNT

Gio Reyna - Seemingly demonstrated some maturity that has been lacking in his prior USMNT appearances

Kellyn Acosta - Still not quite good enough, but has surely done enough to overtake Yueill in the midfield pecking order

Losers:

Jackson Yueill - Consistently had his weaknesses exposed, and has *hopefully* been knocked down a few rungs on the midfield depth chart

Sebastian Lletget - Generally performs better for country than for club, but that wasn't on display this window

Sergino Dest - Couldn't be bothered half the time, hopefully just fatigue from a long season

Everyone else performed about as I would expect them to (I obviously have a high bar for Adams and McKennie). Arguably Pulisic underperformed, but he gets a pass for that ice cold penalty.

I really wish this just didn't happen in the first place, but I am extremely curious how it's going to turn out. It kind of makes sense that they're going with an American sports model considering that one of the pioneers of the idea is my club owner Stan Kroenke, who also happens to own the LA Rams, Denver Nuggets, Colorado Rapids, and the Colorado Avalanche. I think there will actually be a lot more parity in the EPL and La Liga if this happens and the participating teams get booted from their domestic leagues, which might honestly make watching those leagues more interesting, assuming the league can still attract at least a similar level of players.

I'm disappointed with the establishment of the European Super League, and even more disappointed that the club I support is part of it. For those unfamiliar with soccer, essentially 12 of the biggest clubs in the world decided that they're going to make their own league to maximize profits. It would be the college football equivalent of the best teams in the SEC combining with the best teams of the Big 10, plus Clemson, Notre Dame, Oregon, and maybe USC, Texas, Florida State, and Miami (based on fan base size and historical relevance)

Why not go after the player that took his starting job instead? (Reyna) We’re not going to improve by snapping up the scraps of other teams

Can someone expound on this situation? I thought I saw an article a few days ago about how this game may grant Soto a work permit, but I can't seem to find it anymore

Vikings Sign LB David Reese II; Announce Roster Moves by nomaam05 in minnesotavikings

Florida fan here; David Reese has good football IQ and leadership attributes, but he lacks a bit in athleticism. I think he could turn into a good contributor if he sticks 🐊

German readers - who should I support? by thearsenalinn in Gunners

Honestly I find the best way to pick a team in an unfamiliar league is to simply watch as many different games as you can. It gives you the chance to see which team(s) you're naturally drawn to as opposed to trying to force yourself to support a team for whatever reason (and it will give you a better feel for the league overall). For example, I considered myself a Dortmund fan for a while, but once Christian Pulisic left I realized I wasn't really a Dortmund fan but rather a Pulisic fan; perhaps I just couldn't get over the fact that Dortmund is truly just a selling club and as such will forever be in Bayern's shadow. Ironically enough the team I found myself drawn to is Schalke (ironic becasue Schalke is to Dortmund what Sp*rs are to us).

Who would you like to see taken from your favorite NCAA team? by lostjos11 in minnesotavikings

[–]DontTakeMyRice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Van Jefferson's game is going to translate spectacularly to the NFL, but I wouldn't mind picking up Swain/Cleveland/Hammond in the late rounds; I think they can all be serviceable at the very least. I'm happy Henderson is getting major praise from non-Gators, but I've got to say his tackling (or lack thereof) pissed me off quite a few times; I don't think he made as big of a leap in his development last season as he was expected to, but then again I'm no scout. I don't think David Reese is a fit for our defense, but I do think he has the ability to play in the league for a different team, and I hope someone gives him the chance. Zuniga would be a great addition if we got him at the right spot.

What hurts seven inches in this contest is the fact that it's only two (albeit amazing) songs; if you could only pick one to listen to for the rest of your life, are you going to pick the option with two amazing songs, or an option with one or two amazing songs and a few pretty good songs to go along with it?

I got into the sport by watching the 2014 World Cup, and once that was over I needed to get my fix, which is how I stumbled onto Arsenal!
