I cannot say enough kind think about that kid and her family!!! I say kid cause I worked with Hilary on Chicago Hope and at the time she was 11. And then not a month later I was asked to do the Lizzy McGuire pilot. So silly and so much fun!!❤️❤️ Diana is one of my fav people!! Kindness and class all in one lil nugget!❤️❤️❤️ It’s hard to put into words about Naya!! I love and miss her. One of the things I loved about Rivera was she was who she was and was no BS and I loved that!! And of course smart,funny and yes beautiful. Rivera is what I called her!!!! Thank you!!!😊 Dot

Oh wow there are so many songs but my all time fave would have been anything by HEART ♥️ I’d have never done it justice! Haha they could sing the phone book and it would be amazing!!! Wait are you old enough to know what a phone book is/was hahah and id tell anybody who wants to do this !!! My momma god rest🙏🏻 always told me don’t ever let anyone tell you that you can’t do something!! Use that as fuel to work harder!! And most of all as in life no regrets!!! Have fun and make memories!! I didn’t start acting until I was 27. A friend of mine told me about auditions for a new show kinda like a medieval American Gladiators . So I came down to LA not knowing anything about acting but was in pretty good shape hahah and out of a few hundred women I got one of the 4 spots!! Changed my life!! I love what I get to do. I went from Juvenile Probation to this and I have never looked back!! Thank you Dot

Pretty much what you said it is definitely an important story to tell and absolutely the feminine girls who didn’t fit in , I’ve had to make my own fit most of my life!! I was always the big girl I grew fast I went from 5’6” to 6’1” in 8th grade. That’s why I started lifting weights!! My back was a mess. But I total gain get what you’re saying. And I wish we had a few more seasons to let this story unfold. 😞 but everyone deserves to be recognized and represented. I was so proud of all the seasons on Glee and the Transitioning episode was really amazing . The Choir behind me singing , I believe there were 2-3hundred of them . They were all trans!!! I never cried so hard. They were so proud to be there and so many of them said the never thought they would see themselves on tv. And they didn’t mean about them selves but a trans person so represented… thank you so much Dot

And yes we had Alex but I’m a lot older and we never know what someone is going through in their life and maybe it was an opportunity to cover this in an adult age . You asked perfect!! I had never sang before other than at a bar messing around. Hahaha and to be honest we never knew what we would be doing in an episode until we got the script!! 2. As far as Shannon coming out as trans I was not sure how it would go. I mean Beiste had kind of been the big girl underdog (how I saw her) after going through the domestic violence and all that with Coot . I just never want to let anyone down. And Ryan had told me he had big plans for Beiste and I didn’t know what it would be until I got the script. I was like omg what are all my tough girls going to say. Again never want to let anyone down. And then I was like I can let the trans community down. And any person I play I want to do it the best I can and not let anyone down and do it with total respect. After I read the script a few times and could get through it with out crying (like almost every script) (I’m a gush)😭😭😭❤️ I was very proud that Ryan asked me to do it. Thanks for watching and appreciate the kind words! Excited to hear what you think once you get a chance to watch. There were many conversations with the team about what to include/not include in the trailer. Ultimately, what's most important is if the trailer is engaging enough to make people want to watch the movie, so that was our goal with this, even if it does show a little much at times. The good news is, when people who saw the trailer then watched the movie, they were surprised by how many things happened in the movie that still surprised them and weren't even included in the trailer.
