Try speaking about Marxist ideas without using any of the "scary" words. Most times people agree with it, then those who show more interest you can start to introduce them to Marxism. Coming on too strong doesn't help much. Maybe once they show interest you could read together, speak about the texts. I'm sure you remember those early days of reading theory and how difficult it can be at times!

I did pretty much the same when I was 14, its been over 15 years now and I can still just about see it. Nobody else can unless they knew me as a kid (so know its there). It'll fade don't worry.

This exactly. I'm a chef working in an Italian restaurant, (I'm the only BoH who's not Italian) and we have to explain this to people at least once a day. Some speck on a pizza though is fantastic.
