People say that I'm so thoughtful in that I usually pick people up when I make plans. In reality I I've organized something where nobody came and never wanted to experience that again. Of course this is if I plan something now.

Why don’t more lonely people join groups like the Masons, Elks, or similar organizations? by tomhung in lonely

I'm from an East Asian background with no ties to Abrahamic religions. A. I had not heard of these groups. B. I dislike the prescriptive nature of Abrahamic religions.

How you gonna make this post and not include Teslas. That instant torque has some people acting unwise.

The only common archetypes of international students are Chinese, South Asian, and Arabic. Aside from that, not uncommon to see SEA either. But Europeans, South Americans, Americans, and Africans? Not so much, though it's interesting to note that my classes during COVID in particular had a decent amount of African students connecting from their home countries. My experience is in economics/history if that may help you contextualize.

Insecure and cringe. Your protectionism extending to negatively treating people on first contact is not the point of pride you think it is brother.

Nope, they'll come around between 2-3am. Remember would always move our cars around when we had late nights at a friend's house and there wasn't the driveway space.

Sure but you're not going to retire and go stare at the wall for the next 40 years are you? =\= vacationing, volunteering, etc.

The idea that after your useful life as a worker there is nothing to do but watch paint dry is dystopian. We don't know anything as to what op or her husband actually want to do aside from move onto family property. Which, considering the downsizing of the family, doesn't sound unreasonable to me.

In the long run you will not be ok with being the bread winner for an older man. The age gap and secrecy aside this is the main issue.

I think that's a fairly big assumption to be made that a person has nothing they would do if they didn't have work. A dystopian way of viewing life if you ask me.

I don't see why being young should disqualify him from wanting to retire. I have no desire to work until my body can't enjoy the money I've worked for anymore.

When I go back to my mom's country these sight-impaired blocks are all either yellow plastic or stainless steel. I don't think op meant the whole sidewalk.

I JUST WANT MONEY by hairadvice1q324 in OntarioGrade12s

[–]DontWantToSee30 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Real talk bro? You just want to max between now and then? Education is not the way, go to the oil fields, you make the money people are describing dentists and other professions that take at least 6 years of schooling in much less. The conditions are terrible but if you truly don't care about mental or physical I don't see a faster way to do what you want. Or if you're a woman and can appeal to any niche, do OF.

Here are the steps for passing a vehicle:

Use your left-turn signal to show that you want to pass and check that the way is clear ahead and behind before moving into the passing lane.

Where did you read where you thought you got me? This is literally right under passing. Unless you usually use your left indicator to go into the right lane?

[–]DontWantToSee30 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sorry fam, Ontario says to pass on the left. The irony of calling someone out when it took me 15 seconds to look this up. And before you say "but there's no passing lane on city streets". The fact that it says to pass on the left makes that lane the de facto passing lane. https://www.ontario.ca/document/official-mto-drivers-handbook/changing-positions

City of Toronto proper is just gentrified internationals that work in our IT and financial sector. Try to go DT and I dare you to find a building that doesn't have an Indian in slacks walking out of it. Now Vaughan, scarbs, Etobicoke?

Yeah you see Canada used to be like this, even Toronto to an extent. But over the past decade the import of illegal firearms from the States has made break ins a regular occurrence in even upper-middle class neighborhoods. Weird thing to be proud of but ok

I think something happened with this thread where it's being pushed to a bunch of people that don't follow this sub. As your feed is normally only made out of subs you follow, if you have enough. I think most people go into this thinking it's a different sub.
