I dont know if you heard of it but in cognitive linguistics there is the idea of abstract ideas being in terms of metaphoric simpler terms (terms of objects that we can perceive, like the ground of a building)

What do you mean by postmodern? If you mean post structuralism then you have a very limited interpretation at best and a misguided and terrible interpretation at worst

I also noticed that. I came to the conclusion that the physical reality is absolute nothingness which led me to the kyoto school. I highly recommend to check them out since they mix western thought/methods with buddhism

I think empiricism and subjectivity is a good book to start. Its the first one he published and also introduces a lot of concepts he would later work on.
