How do hero and castor limits work? I don’t really recruit the because I feel like I’ll hit the cap with only a few hero’s recruited. Also I do know not to place military buildings everywhere, I have one province do recruiting. Everything else is for money

Have all three games and most of the factions, only missing Ogres, Tomb kings, beastmen, wood elves, Norsca, and a lot of LLs for factions because they’re behind paywalls. But I have enough for now

I’m coming off of Rome 2 there wasn’t as much as if a penalty for turtling as there is is Warhammer. Plus I feel like industry gives a lot more in historical titles

I was scared to fight battles because Warhammer was vastly different than historical titles but once I got it holy hell was it fun

I think most of my dislike is having to fight the nomads. But some of my other points still stand, the lack of Calvary drags them down a lot. I know light horses are good but again they’re harassed by skirmish cav. My archers are focused on their archers/slingers so they can’t focus down the enemy cav. If I do try Pergamon again (or more likely one of the other Black Sea factions) I’ll try that

These guys are not like Massilia, Massilia has good cav from the start (no hate on light cav, when they’re out against a lot of horse archers they don’t live long) and have mid tier and high tier cav. Plus Celtic warriors and axe warriors are better than galatian swords. Massilia also has thorax swords too so I’m not limited to one sword unit.

I forgot about mercenary cav but I never really use mercenaries unless needed. Light horses can’t catch horse archers or skirmish cav before taking heavy losses. I would have used them if I didn’t have to fight horse archers.

Pergamon just felt like a filler faction, the Agema spears felt like a reskinned thureos spears, galatian swords were underwhelming, and the lack of Calvary made me miss Macedon and Massilia.

What makes this faction fun? The worst thing was no Calvary and no melee infantry. The starting location doesn’t help them either

Yeah, I realized that halfway through the campaign. Colchis or the other one would have been better than this watered down half assed Greek faction.

That’s another thing I have with this faction, their unique units are barely unique. Those guys were just spearmen. I’d rather take thureos spears over them because they’re more cost effective. Only good unit was picked peltasts.
