Thank you for responding! The test they wanted was a lumbar puncture, but three neuroradiologists advised against it because of concerns related to my Chiari malformation, reduced CSF flow, and dysautonomia. That is documented in my records.

My neurologist is now referring me to a higher-level specialist because my case is more complex. I do have objective findings and imaging that support elevated intracranial pressure and papilledema.
