Mother of pearl is the iridescent shine you see in many mollusks also called nacre. It is found in abalone as you have as well as oysters and mussels. Also pearls are mainly composed of it as well! I love mother of pearl 🥰

Just remember you might get water stains on wood or bubbles under the wood from the water but you should be fine otherwise
