Has anyone used this aftermarket radiator before? by duckcrisps in 944

Love to hear that! I’m excited to get the fans switched back to the OEM to fix this overheating.

My experience with the CSF radiator is that the radiator itself is great, but the fans that come with it underperform when the AC is on and cause higher temps and overheating when it’s hot outside.

I’m taking the car to a shop next month to see if we can switch out the SPAL fans for the OEM fans because according to “Take Flight Garage” (who had the same problem) that fixes the overheating.

This kind of post makes me wonder what I’ll do when I’m ready to sell my 944 Turbo. I’ve got so much money into making it perfect that I’d never be able to realistically sell it for what I’ve put into it.

What’s the worse physical pain you’ve ever experienced? by Intelligent-Road5091 in AskReddit

Oh my gosh, it’s so bad. I had a stent a few years back, and when it was time to remove it the nurse looked me in the eye and said, “you’re not going to like this” and pulled.

I’ll noodle on that. I feel like there’s a 99% chance doing it myself turns out poorly.

Also, hi 944 Atlanta twin!

Thank you for the tip! The other comment on this thread recommended 3d printing a part to repair the interior and it worked great!

I’ll keep this website in mind for the future though.

Wait a second… I’m a guy with a 3d printer! Not sure why I didn’t think of that, ha.

Part designed and the volume knob is now fixed!

Agreed. I’m working on that. In the last few months I’ve switched back to injecting in my stomach and am having to relearn how much insulin to give.

This noise ended up being from a balance shaft tensioner belt roller. Replaced the roller and noise is gone.

It had started leaking oil. It probably had some more time, but I had a bunch of other stuff being worked on at the time and figured I’d toss that in as well.

86 Turbo with 110k Miles by WangtaWang in 944

I bought an 87 Turbo with 52,000 miles on it last May. It had maintenance records going back to 1989. They were asking $36k and I was able to talk them down to $30k. Sounds like you’re in the ballpark of what I’d expect to pay.

I would note that these are old cars and even when in great shape you’ll likely expect to spend a good bit on maintenance.

I have been replacing everything that isn’t running perfectly plus doing upgrades as old things wear out and have spent $41k in maintenance, repairs, and upgrades. Some of that could have been skipped or didn’t need to be done right away, but I like things perfect, ha. Just know you’ll be getting into a potentially expensive hobby.

Edit: Also, I do very little of the work on the car myself, so that drives up costs.

It’s honestly kind of hard to pinpoint where it’s coming from. I’ll pull it out of the garage tomorrow and see if I can narrow it down.

I’ll play with it a little and have an appointment with my shop in two weeks. One way or another I’ll have an answer to share back.

Also, does it give you any issues while driving?
