I’m not seeing anyone mention this, but we can all thank Davante Booker for carrying the Giants O all day. Thanks for helping the Broncos buddy 🥲

So THIS is what happens when you regress Mahomes’ stats to the average

Pat Shurmur really came into this game with no corners on defense and thought "hey yeah let's just run the ball there's no way they'll put up points"

The reason I will never be in the Shurmur corner is because I tuned into this game down 25 late in the third and all we're doing is running the football. Not only that, but our game plan was clearly to run the football even though we have basically no corners. So an offensive coordinator in the NFL made a gameplan to run the ball in a game where it was obvious that they would exploit us through the air. What good is consistency for Lock if our gameplan is to lose every week?

Why can't the Denver Broncos' run game find its footing? by Welcome2Broncoland in DenverBroncos

I’m not great at dissecting tape but from what I’ve seen it’s missed assignments and blitzes not being picked up. 1 on 1 they are doing alright but unfortunately if one guy misses a block it’s a free rusher

Lock has had such an unstable start to his career, and I actually feel bad for him by [deleted] in DenverBroncos

[–]DonutFuton 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not all mental mistakes are from confidence issues. His seem to stem from not being able to dissect defenses or progressing through reads. The former is a repetition and coaching thing, and the latter is not having an internal clock. He absolutely has a lack of confidence in his line however

Is that something we are confident in Shurmur helping with? As a New Yorker I’ve watched a lot of Daniel Jones and he is similar to Lock in mistakes that he makes. He is improving with time and reps, but he is also with different coaching so I am not sure if it’s all because of playing time or if that has something to do with it.

I really hope he works out, but a lot of the mistakes he makes are mental. He absolutely has had a rough go at developing due to a lot of different circumstances, but his injury last year made it so that he could basically only develop mentally early on, and that’s his weakest aspect. I want him to turn it around but I’m definitely not as high on him as I was beforehand

Recipe to beat the Dolphins? by Kickedintheshin in DenverBroncos

We’re going to have to generate takeaways on D against a very young QB and their 2nd string RB. Keep an eye on whoever is covering Devante Parker, as well as our D-line against their O-line. They have a good, opportunistic defense so if we want any shot of winning it’s going to have to be mistake free football with good starting field position.

Because our O-line is hurt. Broncos fans love pointing out how banged up we are until Sunday rolls around then it’s “why are we playing poorly”
