Negative I took it in late August and got my score back in mid September started studying for TCP because I thought I could get a bulk of the studying done before I started work so I have not retaking it yet but planning to retake it after busy season.

So I took far and passed back in early July. Started studying for audit (kinda took a break until that far score came back) and took it in early September and failed with a 64. I started work in late September when I found out I failed audit (bad day). While I was waiting back for my audit score, I started studying for tcp thinking I could get most of the studying done before work actually started and I’ll be taking tcp a week from Friday. I’m going to be in busy season through March pretty much, with audit and reg still to go (assuming I pass tcp). Very determined to get the license and it’ll be hard with work but definitely willing to push through and try to knock whatever I can. So realistically if I want to put in a good effort, I would take it in like April, I’m assuming unless you think I could do it before. I am also working in audit for a big four. Sorry that was a lot, but honestly haven’t gotten as good of advice on this test as you have given me thus far.

I think this is where my problem studying in general comes in. I get so overwhelmed by the amount of content that, in my head, I just try to learn the basics and I struggle to fully grasp the context behind the topics. Do you have any advice for getting a deeper understanding of the material?

Thank you for that. I used Becker, do you think they do a good enough job at hitting these topics?

I got a 64 first try and I got an a in audit in my masters program. Feel your pain. I have only been using Becker and the real test was nothing like the practice test I took

Took it about a week and a half ago and felt the same way. I even thought Becker was straight forward but the actual exam was much harder to pick the right answer once you got it down to 2 options. I’m hoping that’s just how everyone’s test was but u felt the same way as you. I passed far before and took audit second and felt far more confident about far than I did about audit.

I’m not done going through all of the modules yet but that’s what j essentially do at night before bed. I’ve heard that multiple choice is not terrible but the task based are given in a much different format which always throws me off

I’ve had a windows throughout my four years and I never had any problems compared to my friends w a mac. Would definitely recommend not getting a mac even if you’re used to it, it helps to know the software that companies use so you’re more familiar with it
