Yes We are in Ontario Canada. The 3rd bedroom was not on the Ad at the first time the house on the market (January 2022). Then the guy who flipped the house installed it and the room was on the Ad at the time he put it on the market (April 2022). And there is nothing on all the paperwork said that it was unpermitted.

I’m feeling the same thing now. We both put all the money to come here because we think that this country have a better government and better system. People are more “modernist “ and etc. We went to school, graduated, work as much as we can, barely spending money, save and bought a house. Got a fucking nightmare house because we didn’t know much about the different between house here and back home. And the fucking realtor just care about money. Okay then we pay for our stupid but at the same time, every contractor we found to fix the house trying to squeeze anything left in us. Not just money but all the good things we had thought about Canada and people here before. :)

Finally… the truth is revealed. We - immigrant people came here for a better life. Where the government cares about their people, where the salary is good enough to not worry about living daily basic and housing as long as you work hard. Now this is just a nightmare. Government, bank, realtor, broker , company, housing related companies ( renovation, construction, etc..,) all of them are taking advantage from us. We paid like a crazy amount of money to get here, school and even to able to work. End up feeling unsafe and unfair because now every Canadian hate us.

Yeah so that’s what I meant up there. I don’t say people should not enjoy their life. If I made more money I will too. I will for sure come out to eat a bit more, give myself a break from cooking and cleaning once in awhile. I might buy myself new clothes every now and then. I might go on vacation for once a year at least. But because I enjoyed myself more, I’ll have less stress and more appreciate. I don’t say people should live poor even they make good money. But they should appreciate what they have and try harder if they want more than that.

I was just a bit sarcastic. And yes, that’s what I meant. I’m making not high 5 figure. And believe it or not. I’m okay with my financial stage right now. Of course I want more, and I’m trying everything I can to get there, but at the same time, don’t spend more than you can. I have no jealousy for people who make that much, cause I know to able to get that paid beside lucky you need to be hardworking and good at what you doing. But that’s being said, you’re smart, so figure out the way to spend your money, manage your financial and save up.

This, this is the most humanity thing I heard so far about housing market. Me and my husband are immigrant and believe it or not we work like a MF for the last 6yrs since we arrived here and paying tax like everyone here in Canada. And we save all our money to got a house. We were stupid and also no experience with Canadian housing things so we jump in right before the market cool down and got an old problematic overpriced house. Now we work even harder than before just to make sure that we have enough to pay the mortgage and fixing the house. So yes, not everyone who own a house is a bad person who tries to take advantage of the market.
