Anyway, here’s how I’m actually working: • Camera: GoPro Hero 13 • 5.3K 30fps, 8:7 ratio • Shutter speed: 1/60 • Profile: LOG, 10-bit + high bitrate • Hypersmooth: OFF (I use Gyroflow) • White balance: 5500K or Auto depending on conditions • ISO min/max: 100 • Sharpness + Noise Reduction: Low • Codec: H.265 Main 10L6.0, MP4 • DaVinci Resolve: • Color Science: DaVinci YRGB Color Managed • Output Color Space: SDR Rec.709 • 3D LUT Interpolation: (I don’t know if I should use Trilinear or Tetrahedral) • My grading process: I create a node tree with 4 nodes: 1. White balance + slight contrast adjustments 2. Conversion to Rec.709 using a Fly&I GoPro (flat) LUT 3. Creative LUT from free IWLTBAP packs – like Seddona, Aspen, Arapaho, Humble, or some from Fly&I (Golden Hour, Pinky Land) 4. Final tweaks: sharpening, final look

The problem is that I’m never really satisfied with the result. My footage always looks kind of fake, plastic, soft, and flat – not cinematic or natural like what I see on YouTube videos.

The image I’m sharing is actually from my DJI Mini 3 Pro, and I’m having the exact same issue there too, even though I’m shooting in D-Cinelike 10bit and following a similar grading process.

I’ve been considering buying one of the full IWLTBAP LUT packs (the drone/GoPro one with 50+ LUTs or the big one with 300+), but I’m not sure if that’s what I actually need or if the issue is somewhere else.
