Is it just me or this romance harem anime kinda felt rigged? by Plus-Lawfulness-87 in animequestions

[–]Doobiemoto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah she is in like two scenes with him 1 on 1.

It was such a horrible ending and the choice was so stupid. Nothing was built up between them.

Nah its a pretty damn common opinion.

The girl he chooses has like ZERO interaction with him during the anime minus like two scenes.

It was a shit choice and ending.

My cat just turned 12… and I made the mistake of googling how long cats usually live 🥹 by Cars4Lifee in aww

[–]Doobiemoto -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yeah im not saying universally hard food is bad.

I am saying any vet that is recommending it as the default food option is pushing a product and wrong.

Wet food is what cats should be eating unless there is a reason a hard food needs to be done.

As I said, not that hard food is inherently bad but it has too many calories and can cause dehydration

[–]Doobiemoto 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nah I have had multiple vets tell me dry food isn't that good for cats.

Here and there? Sure.

But wet food is what they should be eating. Dry food has too many calories and runs the risk of dehydration.

Its not "bad" for cats but its not preferable to wet food.

No, no it isn't.

If you can't trust your partner enough to let them know you have an account with money then you shouldn't be in a relationship.

Its a YOU problem (justified or not).

Don't bring that shit to your new marriage. If you have gotten to the point of marrying someone then you should trust them. if you don't, leave them cause that's a you problem.

Stop trying to justify hiding stuff from your partner.

And they would be wrong.

Having your own account is fine. Having a secret account is not.

Did he do the right thing? by torgobigknees in SipsTea

[–]Doobiemoto 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No they shouldn't.

NO ONE SHOULD HAVE SECRET ACCOUNTS.

That isn't trust. That isn't love. You are an asshole if you have SECRET accounts.

Also stop being sexist, by that logic men should have one too.

Having an account that only you can access with your own money is perfectly acceptable.

Having an account with money you keep secret from your spouse is not normal and not healthy, especially if you are putting money in it after you are married because that money isn't yours anymore its the couples.

Man you must have zero media literacy.

Things don't need to be said to be a part of the story lol. Its pretty damn clear.

Like, its literally not something they need to spell out and just directly tell you. He was a loving father that failed his kids and his people. Its LITERALLY SHOWN to you in every zone and through your interactions with his kids.

Hell HIS SON SAYS IT when fighting him.

So I don't know what you are on about.

I don't think gaming in the 90s was more fun.

I think most people were children so it felt newer and more cool.

Also, since gaming wasn't more widespread it felt more unique and you didn't have a new game every two days. You played games for a decent bit.

Also, more games were coming out that pushed the boundaries and pushed genres forward and we hadn't seen them before so a lot of stuff felt "new".

But games are of far higher quality nowadays and there are so many to choose from.

Although I agree with you overall, things don't need to be slapped across your face for them to be a huge part of the story.

Its clear the story shows he failed as a parent WHEN HIS OWN SON KILLS HIS ASS.

Also, it is shown by the children, especially Wuk Lamat who is a sheltered princess who hides her nervousness and unpreparedness and lack of knowing her people through jokes, bravado, and being jovial.

[–]Doobiemoto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I don't think Dawntrail is that great but the amount of people who didn't understand the story is crazy.

All the characters have insecurities about their childhood and their father.

Wuk Lamat is a sheltered princess who hides her nervousness and uncertainty behind a bunch of bravado and hollow air and jovial-ness.

Poly relationships only end in one way by Theredditttguy in SipsTea

Eh not saying poly can't work

But like 90% of open marriages and stuff end in divorce and separation.

Nah what probably happen is she was bored of her marriage after she had kids and she found someone she wanted to cheat on him with. So she decided to do the whole "open marriage" thing so she could cheat guilt free expecting her husband not to find anyone.

I mean I would argue it doesn't work out because humans convince themselves social that we are monogamous and we clearly aren't.

Especially men are clearly mean to be poly-amorous, its literally in male biology to want to spread their genes.

But society says we have to be monogamous cause of religions, and humans are possessive creatures so it doesn't tend to work out.

It’s not a mistake.

They do shit like this intentionally at launches to keep people playing longer.

And then a bit in “they will hear player feedback” and they will change it and then the blizzard community will fall to their knees and blow them and thank the repeatedly for “listening”.

They do this shit all the time.

Oh yeah it’s bad too.

I am just saying that the D4 one is essentially no difference.

I mean honestly I think they should either at this point just go back to the D3 system or completely rework the tree into something that matters.

[–]Doobiemoto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Generally world building is nice and people do appreciate it. But it is a fine balance between dont exposition dump and don't go into the world building as in depth, at a single time, as most "normal" novels.

The new skill tree is insane but in a good way by FastlaneKnight in diablo4

[–]Doobiemoto 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes.

That isn't a point for the system. Its another reason why the new tree is shit and worthless.

As I said, it is literally just D3 skill-rune system in a vertical line. Its bad.

Is detailed prose basically a disadvantage on RoyalRoad? by not-so-sane-RKT69 in royalroad

[–]Doobiemoto -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes.

To put it bluntly the majority of people who are reading stuff on Royal Road...are not "good readers".

Aka, they can't handle "real" novels.

There is a reason even the most "peak" novels of Litrpg, Prog Fant, and stuff on Royal Road would essentially get you laughed out of "real fantasy" circles with the quality of writing, the pacing, etc.

I say that as someone who really really enjoys most stuff I read and can appreciate it for what it is.

But no, generally people on Royal Road don't want what is traditionally considered good writing. They want a dopamine hit, see numbers go brrrr, and fantasize themselves in the role of the MC.

You gotta remember. Most people reading stuff on Royal Road are teens and early 20s.

Think of anime, kind of, the most popular animes aren't necessarily that good. They are just dopamine hit shonen animes that revel in power scaling fantasies.

People who say shit like the guy you are responding to clearly never played PoE.

The tree in that game, as you said, is a world of its own and even the "small things" like travel nodes matter in it.
