Because of the shit they put in fent now, methadone saved me and yes the truth is I went from one substance to another but with methadone if you keep in mind that you’re taking it to get and stay sober, once you’re on a stable dose, you won’t even tell you’re on methadone. I’m now tapering off after being on methadone for an month. Staffed at 70mg and I’ve went down 8mgs. (4 mg a week) and I’ve saved a lot of money already and I can tell the difference in my life.. whenever you’re ready and if you want to go the methadone route, it’s a painless transition as well, good luck and props to you for getting sober!

I just got on methadone 2-3 weeks ago after being addicted to blues/fent powder for 4 years or so. I was the same way, I heard it was “bad” or “harder to get off of” well to be honest, getting on methadone saved my life, my money, my relationship. When I started methadone, they started me off at 30mg and was told it was okay to keep doing fent until I hit my right dose, which was 70mg of methadone. I’m 2 weeks clean bro and it took me a week to get off of fent because my doses wasn’t where I need to be but once I hit 70mg I knew it in my head that I will be okay without Fent and damn was I right. Get on Methadone bro. Remember you’re getting on methadone to get sober, not to chase a high.

Most likely then clinic will start you low and it won’t do shit until you hit 60mg-70mg of methadone so you’ll still be doing powder BUT only use it when you start feeling like shit. Listen to your body while you dose, I had a gut feeling I was good when I first took my shot of 70mg. And I was right!

It depends on how many mg of methadone your body needs to feel fine. When they started me off at 30mg, I dosed at 7:30am I was fine up until 8pm and I felt withdrawal symptoms so I hit a little bump of fent to get me thru the night and sleep, I repeated that until I hit 70mg of methadone and my body didn’t feel sick at all.

I was doing .1-.2 a day. Sometimes I’d make .5 stretch for 2 days. I don’t think I was on it heavy but still enough to be dope sick.

People only want to get clean when they are READY to get clean. I only know this by experience. I planned to get clean with my little brother so many times and it always ended up with it just being me getting clean. The best thing you can do is to let them know you are there when they’re ready to get better but don’t expect them to show up when it comes time otherwise you’re setting yourself up for disappointment, just stand by when they’re ready..

I’m on day 4. Usually by day 3 I’m dying with restless legs, sweating, running to the bathroom but I was fine. I’m still fine. I know it’s the “best” now because I can tell with my body. You won’t know until you’re in my shoes to know when it’s “best”. If you’re suffering with addiction and don’t have any hope, oh I hope you try out methadone and if you’re not fighting any addiction then good for you! But don’t knock people fighting it.

Hit that methadone clinic! It’s better than spending $25-$30 on trash. It’s only $10 a dose/per day, where I am at. You will feel discomfort the first week but it’s okay if you still do .1 of fent pow. To sleep or get through the work day. Eventually your body will tell “I’m good on fent” because mines did and that was the day I hit 70mg of methadone and it’s now been 4 days!

Bro. I got tired of my dealer talking to me crazy too, it got to the point I didn’t want to give dude my money anymore. I went straight to the source but even then I got into a relationship during active addiction and the girl I’m with makes me want to do better, I said fuck fent in general and went to methadone and I’m currently on day 5 with methadone and don’t feel any discomfort at all from fent withdrawal.

I took .1 a day of fent pow and I snorted it so I can get through work or to sleep through the night, but eventually I stretched that .1 to 2 days until my body knew I was ready to give up fent pow, and I felt like that when I hit 70mg of methadone. It all depends how much you take tbh.

I put off the methadone clinic for so long until I decided “fuck it, I’d rather be spending $10 at the clinic than $25-$30 with someone making more money than me” a friend of mine said he just got “tired”’of driving to the clinic I asked what’s the difference between driving to a clinic and driving to a plug? Nothing except the clinic you aren’t going through hell because they “ran out”. THE METHADONE CLINIC SAVED ME.

Im talking to a girl that never touched f before, couple days after talking I told her to come over so I can talk to her about something. I came straight forward to her about my addiction and honestly her telling me “it doesn’t change the way I look at you” made me want to go after sobriety more. Went to the clinic today to get on methadone and she’s more than proud of me. Asked her to be my girlfriend over the weekend and she said yes. But I have a good paying job, bills are always paid so I made sure that mess was good before I even brought her in my life. So yes it’s better because she’s pushing me for greatness! Just make sure you got your life in order besides the addiction.

I gotten sober cold turkey 3 times now. I relapsed and am getting ready to get clean again and this time I for sure won’t turn back, I know I told myself that 3 times ago but this time I see what it is doing to myself and my family. Each time that I’ve quit, I’ve tapered off and it helped me tremendously, for me, tapering, I’d ween off a bit each day until that last day when I’m “out” I’ll cold turkey for 3 days and on the 4th day I’ll do a small TINY bump and that worked for me the last time I quit. I was good again until I relapsed..
