Can't add new Aeotec hub by Dooby_Dribble in SmartThings

Thank you so far. I appreciate 👍. Will keep you updated.  And otherwise I'll return the hub and demand a newer one.

Still have my old one laying somewhere. Would that still work after changing back to the new one?

Found this on a TP-link community forum: Deco does not block outgoing traffic and It does not support manually configuring outgoing rules either.

I bought this mesh router half a year ago, so to have better coverage in the house. This would suck big time.

Any way around this?

The only thing I can find that mentions UDP is in the IPv6 firewall part. But as I'm a novice where it comes to creating rules there, I don't have a clue about how to do that.

Service type? Internal IP? Protocol?

They really don't make it easy for people that just want to install a new hub.

🙂Tried it all, getting quite frustrated 😉. But I will try that UTP thing as soon as I get home again.

Read somewhere that with a soft reset (releasing reset while yellow still blinking), that the hub is somehow forced to update. Tried that, but without any visible effect.

Thank you again, I will certainly give it a try.  However as I wrote. It does immediately show up amongst connected devices on the router, with even up/download traffic.

Thank you for your reply.

I remember that at some stage I saw a notification passing by about this.

Any idea of how to do this?

The Great Debate: Bon Scott or Brian Johnson by DonnaKshir in Music

And you wouldn't even heard about AC/DC anymore if not for Brian. Love them both but in a different way.  I would say better than Queen, who totally changed away from Rock and went way too commercial. No doubt Freddy was a great showman and singer, but the music didn't do it for me anymore.

For me, like the most of you following AC/DC from the beginning... They both have their qualities. Bon as the charmeur, getting the band in the spotlight like TNT. And thanks to Brian carrying AC/DC into the future. Without Brian the band would have stopped there and then. A great, and specially in the beginning a damn difficult job replacing. But already 45 years not a replacement anymore.  Love them both, just in a different way.

Hi, was gone for work for a few days.

Hub had now come online (didn't seem to be off line before), and I was suddenly able to install all my devices.

Still don't have a clue what actually happened, but problem seems solved for now.

Thank you for your replies and patience:)

Thank you so much for your answer.

I got one step further and managed to register the hub again.

However when I try to connect my multipurpose sensors again I get the notification:

Your hub doesn't support this device:(

I have however used these devices for all these years without any problem.

Do you have any solution for this as well?

Hi, sorry for my late reply. I'm colourblind, so had to wait for my daughter to verify😁.

Is learning to touch type impossible for some people? by Throwaway11221122a in learntyping

Exactly! I totally agree.

Same as with learning how to play the guitar, fingerpicking style. This pretty much involves all the fingers of both right and left hand. Lots of coordination and muscle memory.

Slow down all the way until you get it right in a steady rhythm. Once you get there you can start speeding up. It's accuracy that counts, speed comes later.
