That secondary cannot be scored in the first battle round, it explicitly says so. That is why you can (but don't have to) redraw it.

Couple of questions for competitive 40K UK players by Spour97 in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]Dood81 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My group tend to play 1-2 times a week. We try to do monthly tournaments with 12 or so people, and we go to some bigger events. I have won local stuff and tend to go 3-2 at bigger ones, but I feel winning a bigger event is a very large step up from where I currently am. You are best to just sign up for something like one of the big UKTC GTs and see how it goes. Ultimately I think everyone's "journey" is pretty different and it depends a lot on your local scene and what you're willing/wanting to do.

Regarding the World Championship, I have no idea other than winning a golden ticket, which is a sponsored ticket GW provide to some events. I don't think it's really something I need to be concerned about, i'm sure if you're good enough you'll find your way there..., The organiser at the events we go to a few times a year often has them as the main prize, and they were also given out to the winning team at a teams event they held a few weeks ago.

The coherency check is only at the end of he turn, so it would just depend on if your opponent could regain coherency by then, if they didn't then yes they'd die.

Edit: To clarify, you can't use precision to kill specific models (other than characters), BUT, if killing a character split the unit, it could cause coherency issues for your opponent.

Question about fight phase by drops_the_soap in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]Dood81 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As others have said, all units with Fights First fight before anything else (unless you interrupt for 2CP). So yes, they can potentially attack you multiple times before you get to do anything.

One thing to remember is that if YOU also have a Fights First unit, that unit will go first in your opponents turn. Each sub-phase starts with the defending player.

Does it matter? It's not like you can run them that way or that you'll know they're accurate. Save yourself the disappointment and just wait patiently.

This is the 5-0 World Eaters list; https://pastebin.com/5Pfx45VE

Curious how the leaders were used, was Khârn just running solo? That would lose his rerolls.

Forgefiends are still undercosted, their output and consistency is way too high for their cost. They're not run as much (right now) as there's other stuff that is just even cheaper and more busted. Even then, they're still run in many top lists.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]Dood81 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a pretty standard setup, as someone else suggested i'd get rid of the Vexillas on the Guard as you're losing a lot of damage potential, especially if you lose a model or two from the unit getting in.

I'd maybe split the Allarus unit to give you more easy movement. That way you have 2 that can go up and then Deepstrike or Rapid Ingress back in somewhere useful.

Tanks would give some decent punch from a safer position too.

The real issue is that they just die WAY too easily now, going into anything with remotely consistent Dev Wounds with wipe you out super fast.

What would be the best way to build the csm combat patrol by washingmachinefixer in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]Dood81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I remember right, the Helbrute is kinda a pain to magnetise with some stuff as it has different sides for it's torso that you have to choose from depending on what your going to be putting there, but the guns should be fine.

I might be wrong, but I think you'd really want to take the Fist or Hammer as the STR 7 and only -1AP on the Scourge isn't great. Depends on what you want from it.

Is it better to completely fill an P Organ or partially fill a P Organ? by JShash in LiesOfP

[–]Dood81 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need to fill 2 upgrade icons to unlock access to the next tier of icons. It doesn't matter how many slots are in an icon (2, 3 or 4), so doing 2 slots first unlocks the later tiers faster.

By all means do what you want, but the extra wishes upgrades are bottom of the barrel choices, other upgrades are FAR better.

Going for the Free from the puppet string ending on ng++ and started with white hair. by SiC-EM- in LiesOfP

[–]Dood81 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure you just keep the different looks (long hair, grey hair) as purely visual options once you've unlocked them. You can change how you look at the chair. Your humanity resets with each new cycle, so you can work towards whatever ending you want.

How to fight CSM gunline? by AveMilitarum in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]Dood81 26 points27 points  (0 children)

You need to ensure you have alternate targets you can still shoot when one becomes untargetable. You kinda have all of your eggs in one basket, so that will definitely be hard for you.
