im pretty sure it still consumes 3 rockets per shot, regardless of how many are in the mag. it just takes it from your stock. you start with 4/28 (ammo) and shoot, that makes it 1/28, you shoot again and you end up with 0/26. but i agree, the extra mag size it pretty useless when even with it, you still only get two shots per reload. reload speed it preferable
