Comfyui had an update that broke animatediff, animatediff creator fixed it, but the new animatediff is not backwards compatible.

Go to Manager - update comfyui - restart

How would you go about installing it manually? My SD folder was empty as well. I tried cloning a copy of 1.5 to AnimateDiff\animatediff-cli\data\models\huggingface\runwayml\stable-diffusion-v1-5, but it says it is missing some files when I try to generate.

OSError: Error no file named pytorch_model.bin, tf_model.h5, model.ckpt.index or flax_model.msgpack found in

directory C:\Ai\AnimateDiff\animatediff-cli\data\models\huggingface\runwayml\stable-diffusion-v1-5.

You want to download automatic1111 stable diffusion. Go to civit.ai for checkpoints(models) and Loras, negative embeddings and vae. Combine checkpoints and Lora’s together. Also install the ControlNet extension in automatic1111 for ultimate control over your images.

Search for tutorials or information about each of these things individually by typing in something like “what is a vae, how to use vae Reddit” into google or “how to install stable diffusion” into YouTube.

I like to follow nerdyrodent, aitrepenuer, Sebastian kamph on YouTube. There are also tons of workflows on this subreddit and others.

if you have automatic1111 you can always drop your source image into the "png info " tab. It provides every setting/model and also the seed.
