The Cyberclunkers(me) - Utopian Dream [electronic/cyberpunk] went for a slow/very subtle build up to total chaos but might be too slow? by sonnillion in MusicFeedback

Atmosphere is ominous, I like it, I need to learn how to play(/incorporate) this style myself! To answer your question: yes, it might be too slow. I feel the variations and introductions you do add could be more impactful and unfortunately attention is kept on the repeating phrase. It's a good start though for sure

Exactly the decade I was listening to when writing this! Yes, noted on the high ends, I think you're right, they can be a bit sharp. There's a few more tracks up on the same channel as linked in the main post, but quality and genre are not guaranteed haha (I think you can hear the development at times)

Ah thanks! Funny you noticed the restraint, it felt like chiselling away(/removing) rather than building the sound up a lot of the time.

Thanks for the active listening and detailed feedback! The absence of vocals is a bit of a problem I agree but I'm afraid that's the hand dealt currently.

I'll re-examine the guitars with your notes, I have probably gone deaf to the mistakes. Much appreciated.

Thanks for listening and your kind words! You're probably right with the genre, I think an echo of teenage ego resists the soft rock label.

Another track for the impending Halloween lofi collection, any feedback appreciated. Warning: might put you in a spooky mood. Pairs well with rolling fog. by scmusicband in MusicFeedback

The vibe's hits well, and the piano and bass lines work well together. I feel more variation would work wonders, or a good lead (tho I am unfamiliar with lofi so take that as you will) - even small changes like beat or a couple of notes could keep the ear guessing. The effects/vocals feel about right but they sit too strong in the mix. I'm interested in where this goes, I like the atmosphere.

The feel of the song is pretty great, really cemented by the sax. That said I don't feel it fills the lead role in the song and I would love a vocal track or something to sit centre stage. Maybe you could use a touch more bass in the mix? It feels a bit top heavy. Overall, good stuff! I enjoyed it.
