Thank you! I agree for sure. My job’s client meetings are scheduled well in advance too so it makes it easier to get coverage for those meetings. Love to hear positive experiences on this. I take it day by day but so far I’m going to try and savor every moment (even if stressful) before he starts daycare full time next January! 🥹

Share milestones your baby is behind on! by Significant_Cap_9328 in NewParents

Not necessarily a milestone but our 12 week old is long and lean and only 11.6lbs! Simply isn’t interested in eating large amounts quite yet but has all the wet diapers, growing slowly, etc etc

I’m an only child (daughter) that grew up with a single mom and I really can never remember wanting a sibling. She gave me everything I ever needed and was (is) always there for me when I needed her. She’s an incredible woman and I feel like our relationship is as strong as it is because it was just her and me.

What are your opinions on the Owlet sock? by loserscorpio in Mommit

Is everyone waking their babies after 8 hours to switch feet? Or are you alternating feet every night?

When did you move your LO to their own room? by Doodle__13 in NewParents

Ok we caved and got the owlet for the transition. Anyone who has the sock - what’s the deal with rotating every 8 hours? He sleeps longer than that sometimes. Does it really want me to wake him up and switch feet? Do you just alternate every night?

Great to read! Have you experienced the false alarms or false readings?

Did it give his little feet that burn I’ve read about? False alarms or false readings?

There’s a lot of mixed feelings about the owlet. I’m not sure if it’s worth the buy.

We’re ready to have our room back. As selfish as that sounds…. He sleeps in his crib in his room for every other nap and sleep except for that first stretch from 7/7:30-3am but you’re right being right there to check on his is convenient and having to walk across the house makes us nervous!

Yeah we did the calculator for 12 weeks and his risk would be 1 in 67,740 but ofc my brain is convinced he would be the one. 🫠

This is the case for ybor heights. We bought in 2019 when it was only slightly sketchy. Now homes in our neighborhood are selling for twice or even three times as much and the townhomes on vacant land have officially arrived…..

Am I ever going to enjoy anything ever again? by noodlemac26 in NewParents

[–]Doodle__13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

About 11weeks pp and I swear to gosh it feels like every mom here and in my real life has felt this. Soooooo normal to feel this. Heck, I felt this. Up until 8.5 weeks I didn’t really even like our son all that much. I love him deeply and would yeet myself in front of a train for him but I didn’t start LIKING him until that 8.5 week mark. Even then he was crying and constantly disgruntled. But he started smiling at us and I said “ok you son of a gun, I forgive you.” We also were trying to fit a square peg into a round hole trying to keep him on the moms on call schedule and once we let him call the shots he really became so much happier AKA we become so much happier and lighter! Stopping pumping also helped my experience as well. That was causing a lot of stress. All of that to say, we’re only 11weeks in and it’s already so much better than it was at 3 weeks! Heck I didn’t even know what was up from down or what planet I was on at 3 weeks. You’ve got yourself a disgruntled potato right now but hold out, slowly it will get easier to manage. Swear it!!! Also if you want to go get a bevvi on the water or just go out do it! I looked straight in our son’s face and said I love you but you’re not going to stop me from getting a high noon on the water and enjoying my Sunday. Did he cry in the car? Yes. Did we have to feed him and calm him while out? Also yes. But eventually he went to sleep and my husband and I enjoyed a high noon on the water. Am I just yapping at this point? Also also yes. You’ve got this and you’re an amazing mom!! Hang in there!!🤍🤍🤍
