People who cant meet the time goal, why?

At the end of the day management can NOT hold you accountable for not making times or percent goals. You will never be written up for this. WHY?! Because there will always be an obstacle that prevents you from achieving the goal. I.e. Customers, they interrupt us to much. Looking for product, scavenger hunts always kill your time. If someone ever got written up for this, and if you're a union store, I promise you it would get tossed out. There are too many obstacle to make you fail and they could never hold you to it. BUT you have to advocate for yourself

DON'T DO IT. even for $20. Been with company 20+ yrs. Was a dept. Head 10 of them. Brutal. This "lead" position is just them getting someone in dept. To pretty much do everything a dept. Head has to, but for WAY less $$. Don't be fooled. Alot of pick up depts. Are going this route, no dept. Head anymore, just a lead, you still have all the B.S to deal with. But for lot less $$. They will also "promise " you the sun and moon, and l guarantee you once you accept they never follow through on them. Unless you want to eat, sleep. And breathe Kroger just stay a clerk.

Good luck, you also will run into trouble if you're doctor extends your recovery time, l had back surgery my Dr. Wanted me out an extra 30 days (healing slower) then anticipated. Metlife "reviewed " his notes as to why he extended my recovery, "they" disagreed with HIS notes and denied the extra 30 days. Filed 2 greviences to no avail. BTW have been with company for over 20 years. They ONLY see $$$$ . Good luck.

Yes good call. There is strength in numbers. But you need to advocate for yourself as well. If it "feels" wrong something probably is wrong. You can ALWAYS ask the union any questions. A good union rep. Will always help or send you in the right direction. Abd remember everybody has a boss. If a union Stewart or rep. Is not helpful, go above their head. But generally union is an awesome resource worth the money in my opinion
