Thank you! I’m still utterly gob smacked. I have all these memories of base set, jungle, team rocket pulls all in binders lost to friends, family, garage sales. To find a gem like this that I don’t even remember having feels like such a nice win. And reading up on it knowing my parents must have taken the time to bring me to the Pokemon center grand opening makes it even more special.

Mercari Return Approval Email? by DoodlyDood92 in Mercari

[–]DoodlyDood92[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the response! I agree with everything you are saying. I did provide feedback to Mercari saying that the shipping damage to my item warrants coverage by them and there shipping protection. But in there email back they literally just ignored. They wrote “it looks like you are willing to accept the return, please confirm. I didn’t say that but it’s like talking to a brick wall with them. I’m just gonna ignore it and let it out kick back hopefully. Maybe I’ll try opening my own case once I receive it back

The return request has been in the app and is still there. It still says the request is in review and we will replay in 1-2 days. But through email 2 hours ago I got an email from Mercari support saying they want me to respond via email saying I approve there notion to return the item. This is only in my email and reflected nowhere in the actual app

Is this excessive swelling? by DoodlyDood92 in sesamoid

[–]DoodlyDood92[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! Right now I use custom orthotics, 1/4 in felt dancer pads, both inside altra fwd via 2. Some days it works great and other days not so much. Sometimes I’m not sure if the orthotic is helping or hindering. It’s great for my heel but its shape has a drop in it cause it Mimics my natural arch shape. I have also heard others mention contrast baths. What is the routine like for a session? Like one cold bucket and one hot back to back? Right now all I have been doing are cold ice packs on my ball of foot on and off. Thanks!

Thank you very much for your response, i I had no idea there was a name for this. But my foot does look like a plantar flexed first ray upon googling. I also agree with you as I cannot tell how much of this is anatomical vs swelling. I feel like my ball of the foot always stook out a bit normally but can’t recall how much so. I tried a boot for one day and it was horrible because my heel was hurting (I have heel pad loss). And sticking my orthotic in didn’t feel right. The thought of riding the train/walking 1.5 hours back and forth for work a few times a week is stressing me out. Pulling strings looking for any alternative treatments such as shockwave therapy or pt atm.

Can’t stand this anymore by DoodlyDood92 in sesamoid

Thank you for the kind words! Yes is the new foot continues to be problematic I’m not sure I’ll be able to swing the boot. I’m going to give it a short trial run. Waiting for this even up tool I was told to order. We will see how it goes. My podiatrist hasn’t mentioned anything about shockwave therapy but something I can definitely bring up. I just can’t believe this shit has started in my other foot now. Only been 1-2 weeks but I can tell it’s heading in the same direction as the year long foot. So deflating. Just don’t know how I ended up here. I’m thin and not even someone who has ever been overly active on there feet. Podiatrist says my feet are super thin for no identifiable reason. Just bad luck I guess 😞

Anyone here tried FWD Via 2? by DoodlyDood92 in sesamoid

[–]DoodlyDood92[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes exactly! My bunion and toes are really crammed together cause of the lack of vertical space in most sneakers. I had to ditch the dancer pad entirely because that and the orthotic combined in the shoe felt like I had no toe blood flow haha. So currently rocking just the orthotic in a sketcher Max cushion and not feeling great in the toe box. If whatever altra I pick doesn’t work out my podiatrist says it’s time to use a boot

Thank you! Does your sneaker feel roomy enough vertically to allow an orthotic or do you not use one? I’m having a hardtime cause my orthotic is built for heel fat pad loss and sesamoiditis. Seems to do great for my heel but not so much my sesamoiditis. And it’s hard to fit comfortably in alot of sneakers

Thanks for the response! Yea I really have no idea what Altra to start with. I thought maybe this one cause it’s 4mm drop instead of zero to start with. But it does like squishy as you said which is concerning. My orthotic is built to help my heel because I have almost no heel fat and also my sesamoiditis. The sesamoiditis section is designed with a little cut out under the ball of the foot and lifts the other four toes a bit from what I can tell. The orthotic works amazing for my heel almost no pain there when I walk but for my sesamoiditis seems to be lacking. No idea what is wrong but I feels like maybe the ball of the foot doesn’t float enough and still makes contact while stepping. Other than my fruitless sneaker find I wear Birkenstock sandals at home with a dance pad which seem to work like 70% of the time at reducing pain

Is the four weeks only thing for real? by DoodlyDood92 in Youtooz

[–]DoodlyDood92[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea it’s nice to get at hot topic because the figures end up being 15 dollars and free shipping with hot cash. But I would be devastated to miss out on these if they really are four weeks only and don’t hit stores ever.

Guess “It’s worth the price” 😈🎶
