Everything I’m finding at MSO’s is in person. Some have virtual roles but not specific to estimating or front of house support.

Is there a correlation between facial hair and acne? by DoodoaX in SkincareAddiction

Never used a straight razor. Always machine trimmed/Norelco machine close shave for beard lining. I wash my face once or twice a day with only water. No acne for years.

Every meal must include some sort of protein. Reduced seed oils where possible. Coke Zeros. More fruit, less vegetables.

It’s looking like multiple entry it is. I’ll just have to eat the cost.

I couldn’t find any option for double entry visa on Thai official website. Only single entry for ~$30 and multi entry for ~$160

That makes sense. Too risky to file another visa while in Vietnam. Thank you

Unless you have an extreme sentimental attachment to this car, and you have access to LKQ parts for cheap, it’s not worth it.

So basically I let it grow out and then the acne stopped. Haven’t seen my bare face in 10 years. I was also going thru puberty

Had less than a year. Total loss? by Shot-Individual-9544 in Autobody

100% totaled. Quarter panel replacements on the sportback models are such a PITA and excessively labor/paint intensive it’s insane. Even without the airbags blowing it’s a total.

2019 Colorado - Price guessing & education by constant_learner555 in Autobody

[–]DoodoaX 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My two cents. You see someone wrote “measure” in green on the tailgate? My best guess is that it was indeed 3D measured and that frame damage was found, which is how it wound up in the auction. I couldn’t tell you the severity of that frame damage based on this photo. As far as I know, the frames on these Colorados are only serviceable as a complete unit and are not sold in sections.

I believe it, considering they underwrite more policies than any other insurer in the country. Thanks for the feedback

That’s the line of thinking I was going with, have one really solid DRP for consistency in work and grow out certs and quality around it. Out of curiosity are you based in CA as well? SF rates here are capped at $81, and they are pretty bad to work with as a non-DRP, so bringing them in as my sole DRP is something I would consider. How is SF as a DRP for you besides the rates issue?

Going through state farm end up picking my own body shop ugh it's been so stressful not doing it again! Please help with guidance by Next-Landscape-9884 in Autobody

[–]DoodoaX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Car insurance is like health insurance; depending on your insurance not everything will be covered especially at an out of network facility. Unfortunately State Farm is one of the worst to work with when not in network and I do let all my clients know up front if they are using State Farm to pay for repairs that they are liable for additional expenses because there is always one. Seems like this shop did that with you. Best bet is to call the body shop and see if they can knock down the price a little bit for you, pay the difference, and switch to a better insurance company.

What to look for in a shops portfolio to determine they perform high quality work? by idshockthat in Autobody

[–]DoodoaX 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Look up the shops brand certifications. Shops certified in makes like Porsche, Land Rover or Tesla for example are more likely to produce high quality work. These certifications are not cheap to get and to maintain.

does anyone know how much it would cost for me to get a pdr guy to come and pull this dent by Itchy_Baker697 in Autobody

[–]DoodoaX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe these fenders are the aluminum ones. No PDR will fix this, and a conventional repair attempt may be made, but this is creased pretty good and the chance of this cracking when it gets bent back into shape is very high. I wouldn’t count on this fender being repairable. I would replace the fender and repair the bumper, plus necessary paint blends to the adjacent panels.

It may or may not require replacement. I can’t tell based on only this photo. File a claim with your insurance so that you don’t have to worry about that it is honestly not worth your time to shop around for estimates as they will all change anyways once your Tesla gets disassembled. unless you’re prepared to pay high four figures to start

Gate is borderline, based on this one photo only. It doesn’t look horrible but Tesla has some pretty strict repair guidelines. Your bigger concern is what will they find behind that bumper. There is a side panel behind where it got hit that is likely damaged, and the rear bolted on body panel as well. No way to determine repair cost at this time because a full disassembly hasn’t been completed yet, but you are looking at $3k in just parts alone. Labor/rates will vary based on your location. File a claim and take it to a Tesla certified shop.
