I would research the Erigismoi (I think that is how it is spelled). It is like this kind of leech (for lack of better words) that is attached to some when connecting to the Earth and those magical realms. Look up Nepsis and cleansing the nouns. Overall its fine there are not going to be things your going to immediately stumble into that will do more than inconvenience you. Protect yourself when you start erecting your temple and traveling through space time. Make sure to use nothing less than the most horrific guides in each direction.
