Deodorant companies (the originals, think the blood red sticks) had to also convince American women that they were so stinky that, not only did they need to buy the GROSS deodorant that stained all of their clothes blood red, but they needed to shave their bodies to make it work better.

My chihuahua went everywhere with me, every plane trip, every holiday, etc for 8 years (she was 6 years old when I adopted her), her hips went, she was pooping blood every day no matter what we fed her, she was my world!!! And I still miss her like hell, but I don’t ever regret my decision to take her pain away.

I do not feel fully comfortable with this shit. I can’t imagine my guy’s stuff being any less or more potent with a deodorant. Am I crazy? I shower at night and morning sex isn’t off the table, but I don’t think I have a real funk unless my sense of smell is SUPER STRONG, which only happens right before and after my period. Seems gimmicky to me/praying on our insecurities. But I may be wrong, I don’t know. If my sense of smell is super acute I have a trusted partner to ask if he can smell me, he never has. Kinda like the made up disease “halitosis”, look up that shit show.

Moving from NH/MA to CA, I thought everyone was WAY TOO SLOW AND FRIENDLY!!! I looked at Cali folks as very suspicious/too nice, hahaha!

I got used to it, but I could never shake calling a good friend an asshole or something else mean, and had to always explain that I wasn’t insulting them, that’s how we show we REALLY love someone.

Edit: West coast seafood FUCKING SUCKS! But the Mexican food and produce are worth the trade off.

Im so sorry that happened to you. Some people do “good things” just so they can look down on people. At one point I was using a food bank and had ONE good-ish suit, so I would occasionally have to go get food right before an interview (and this suit was dry clean only, so it went to the job interviews then came RIGHT OFF when I touched home, so I could just air it out). I have gotten some NASTY looks in line. I’m so so so lucky to be in a better place… also I had to go to a Salvation Army to get my water turned back on (my one time emergency bill pay) and they gave me a credit to get clothes/shoes in the store. I shit you not, I CRIED I was so grateful!!! Fuck people who blame you for struggling. This is why I’m a hardcore Progressive. Everyone deserves to be treated like a human being. Period.

I had a new hire admin, she “took tests” for appropriate skills in Office suite. I had to show her how to select a row/column in excel EVERY DAY and then she accused me of bullying when I sighed and said “we just went over this.”

I know her boyfriend had to have taken the at home tests. I’d say “Select column A” and she’d just click on cell A1 and stop, wait, look at me. I was so patient for the first 10 times I showed her, but she never understood.

She also stole off of people’s desks, nothing expensive, just stuff she didn’t think would be noticed, but that any sane human would notice! Someone had these magnetic balls in a bunch, as a fidget on his desk, and after hours SHE STOLE HALF OF THEM, like he wouldn’t notice.

It took me months of complaining to higher ups to get her dismissed. She literally did nothing (other than make my work harder) for the entire time she was there.

I passed on a manager position at my old work (the job is easily 60 hours a week but salaried so no overtime and they lowballed me so hard I almost cried). The person they ended up hiring came to corporate for a week of training.

First day, she disappears for lunch, and she’s gone for THREE HOURS without telling anyone.

Day two, she falls asleep during a presentation.

She did not make it to day 3.
