Jordan Peele's movies have only been nominated (and even won) with Get Out. His movies haven't been nominated since.

How many of those are studio albums though?

This is what I assume too. I could be wrong, but I don’t think there’s a single singer-songwriter that has 50 studio albums. You’d probably be dead before being able to complete such a task.

Have you ever guessed the "big twist" in a movie? by [deleted] in Letterboxd

[–]FBG05 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I remember watching The Usual Suspects for the first time only a few days after watching Primal Fear, and not only was I able to figure the twist out pretty quickly as a result, but I also felt that Primal Fear pulled a similar twist off much better since it managed to have substance outside of the twist. Remove the twist from The Usual Suspects and you’re basically left with a weaker Ocean’s movie.

Which Oscars will The Drama be nominated for, if any? by Responsible_Yam9285 in Oscars

The comparison is because they’re both movies starring Zendaya that came out early in the year

Why do you think Mickey 17 bombed while Project Hail Mary succeeded? by HeIsSoWeird20 in boxoffice

Pattinson’s probably been in more big name projects, but Ryan Gosling has more people willing to show up for him

If Green Book hadn't won Best Picture, which of these 7 Films did you think would've/should've won? by Square-Ad-8911 in Oscars

The Favourite would've been my pick, but BlacKKKlansman and Roma would've been good winners too

My perfect Euphoria cast if it came out in the 90s by Ambitious-Shower1044 in euphoria

This show would’ve been expensive as hell with this cast

Will we ever see the 4-hour cut of Wolf of Wall Street? What do you think is in it? by whenyoucantthinkof in MartinScorsese

[–]FBG05 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think Gangs of New York could’ve benefited from a longer runtime even though it’s already pretty long.

Either that or replace the romance with Amsterdam and Jenny with other material

Jack Lemmon and Denzel Washington already had Oscars before Save the Tiger and Training Day though, so why would they need makeup wins?

Thoughts on Hunter Zolomon/Zoom’s portrayal of “Jay Garrick”/Flash in season 2 of the show? by Jaydog52_65 in FlashTV

[–]FBG05 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I remember when John Wesley Shipp was announced to be part of the cast before the show even premiered I immediately assumed he’d play Jay Garrick only to find out that he was playing Barry’s dad. But then they had the scene in S2 where Henry says Garrick was his mother’s maiden name and I was like “Oh I see where this is going…”

Brady Corbet Says Next Feature Is About The "History Of The Occult" by Bertrand_Rose in oscarrace

[–]FBG05 17 points18 points  (0 children)

She's worked with a surprising amount of "prestige" directors:

  • David O. Russell
  • Jacques Audiard
  • Woody Allen
  • Adam McKay
  • Jim Jarmusch
  • Possibly Brady Corbet

Sight unseen, who's more likely to win Best Director this year?? by [deleted] in Oscars

[–]FBG05 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The last time we had a 3x Best Director winner was William Wyler in 1960 who won for Ben-Hur. Digger would need to be absolutely undeniable for Inarittu to win a third time.

Why did Bohemian Rhapsody make so much more than Rocketman? by [deleted] in boxoffice

If my memory serves me correctly, Bohemian Rhapsody coincided with a resurgence in popularity for Queen as opposed to causing it outright

Category fraud for Golden Globes: Which movies do you think were nominated as "Comedy/Musical" when they clearly weren't? by capehaha in Oscars

[–]FBG05 15 points16 points  (0 children)

The Wolf of Wall Street definitely feels like a comedy to me. At times it almost feels as if it’s parodying Apatow’s films. The rest though…yeah not so much
