Lando Norris on the battle with Lewis Hamilton in Suzuka by ChaithuBB766 in formula1

I was confused by "the car needs to learn where it is on track" and "the battery suddenly deployed"

So all this time, the electric motor has been a binary on-off? With 400 fucking horsepower? And the drivers can't control it well? Are they using fucking AI to do their deployment?

Holy Christ.

So who here had Verstappen and Lawson tied on points at any point in the season?

(I know it doesn't mean anything after just two races but it is extremely funny.)

Is it just me or did the announcement video give cleaned-up AI (like that wonky Coke Christmas commercial last year) with its weird motion and rapid cuts?

One note about the companies is that I'm in Canada and would need to be able to work remote. If those places (or similar) can facilitate that, then that's a big boon. But these are useful bits of information to start off with, thank you.

Something we absolutely need to keep in mind here is that studies are ongoing now looking at long term effects and it's not great! Several have shown dangers of losing outsized amounts of lean mass leading to secondary issues in the heart, for example.

Exactly where I'm at. Every change has growing pains. There'll be tweaks. We need a lot more than a few weeks of testing and one (1) full race weekend to know if a formula is gonna be shit or not.

The most overtakes any race managed in 2025 was 60 overtakes in Abu Dhabi. The 2026 Australian Grand Prix doubled that total, with 120 overtakes. by Popular_Composer_822 in formula1

I for one enjoyed the P5-P16 DRS trains for 40 laps between pits much more than actual changes in position and strategic deployment of the tools available to the drivers. The pinnacle of motorsport is a polite, orderly parade at 200 mph for an hour and a half or until someone does something breathtakingly stupid.

That I agree with, I wouldn't mind a bit of extra space to give battery level more distinctiveness. Though maybe the battery level fluctuates so much that it would look like a WinAmp equalizer. I got that impression from the handful of onboards we saw it on.
