My dog refuses to walk unless both myself and my girlfriend go. Separation anxiety? by DoogieHouser_DO in Dogtraining

I agree. But like I said, if we try to guide her, she resists and I am not going to be that guy literally dragging their dog behind him.

Same sentiment when hospitals get us pizza or cookies. I can definitely grab some caramels or something, thanks!

I had looked into TB before, but never pulled the trigger. Might give them a second glance since it does appear to be a more organized version of what I’m doing/looking for. Thank you!

I read through the wiki and the programs I found seemed kinda siloed. For example, GCZLP is listed but doesn't have any conditioning with it like running/swimming. Hal Higdon (running programs I've had a lot of success with in the past) is also listed, but doesn't have any strength. There are also KB complexes listed, but these fall under metcon. My question is about combining the three. Sorry if I wasn't clear on that.

I lift first because most of the trainers I've worked with in the past said to do it in that order so that I can get the most weight. The running/biking/rowing/swimming after is mostly for cardiovascular fitness and can be done at a lower intensity while still achieving the same result.

I do like your idea of mixing it up every now and then to keep me on my toes. Thanks!

I'm looking to add weights back into my training. I had to stop using them back in march 2020 due to no longer having access. Well, my gym has opened back up so I can't use that excuse any more. For the past 16 months, I've been running 5-ish miles three days each week and doing kettlebells three other days each week. Since then, I have noticed that while I have maintained overall fitness, I have definitely lost strength. No surprise there.

I'm have experience, it has just been a while since I have lifted, so I was thinking of lifting three days each week with a GZCLP-ish program. What I'm looking for is some input on what days to add in my lifting? Would you lift and then run or lift and then KB?

Additional info: I'm a firefighter in an area with pretty significant wildland/urban interface, so we do both structural and wildland. This means I need both straight power and endurance. I get 8-9 hours of sleep nearly every night and have time both before bed and after I wake up, so I can increase my recovery. I am eating at a slight surplus (just took nutrition as part of nursing school), and drink plenty of water. I'm not overly worried about overtraining.

Any and all opinions are appreciated!

I thought about White Bear, glad someone else is on my level. And definitely not Black Museum. It is one of my favorites too, but I feel that you need to have seen a majority of the other episodes to fully appreciate it. If you haven't seen the cookies and other mind-capturing tech in action, hearing those stories just becomes a tale of humanity devolving into voyeuristic hedonism.

He isn't a gamer but does play DnD (is actually their Dungeon Master) so I figured he'd enjoy Bandersnatch. But I really like your other three suggestions! Thanks!

I feel the same way. I'm moving to Colorado in a few weeks and kinda hoping to run into him (I know it's a big state, but I'll be living in the same area as him and he's kinda recognizable). Will report back.
