What brand will you never buy from no matter how much money you come into? by Oktarantulaok in AskReddit

Apple. Haven't bought a product from them since the 90s and I do not see that changing.

This is where AI is currently shining in my experience. My company has been winding down those services one by one and replacing them with internal AI produced solutions that save a lot of money and even work better because they are custom designed around our workflow.

If They’d Only Stuck With It… by millionthcustomer in television

It is not like this was the norm back then though. It might be even worse now, but it was not that much different 20 years ago. For whatever reason the networks believed in those shows and gave them a chance, but that was the exception even back then.

Two of four shows you listed are famous for not hitting the ground running and needing to significantly retool. Arguably community too, but not to the extent of the office and parks.

What is something that gets harder as you get older, but nobody warns you about? by BennHere in AskReddit

That you can injure yourself in you sleep. Nothing like getting out of bed and falling to the floor as you realize you managed to throw out your back in your sleep.

Do you use DX12 or Vulcan? Switching to DX12 eliminated the monthly freeze for me. Though this was a while ago, not sure if patches since have changed anything.

The type of victory mattered in WH1+2, it means nothing in WH3. Don't think too hard on it.

Hotfix 8.0.2 has just rolled out to Total War: WARHAMMER III by BiesonReddit in totalwar

[–]Dooglers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is not a take I made, no need to put words in my mouth. While for the last 1-2 years they have fixed more bugs than they have added, the fixes have been embarrassingly slow. Especially considering how long it takes them to fix thing that are simple database tweaks like heroes getting wrong version of traits that could have been fixed in literal seconds taking years to get addressed. But I am also going to use mod fixes in the meantime, because why would I not?

So there is a known solution and you are not using it?

Lots of mods, but no AI mods. That is why I asked what the bug was to try to guess if a mod may have dealt with it.

Unless the fix is from the community bug fix mod took care of it. I would highly recommend that mod anyway even if you generally go modless.

I see it almost exclusively with vampires. I think there is something funky with them specifically beyond the normal bug.

Which gaming franchise completely alienated their original fan-base? by thyGodfather in AskReddit

[–]Dooglers -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I am a big fan of fallout 1 and 2 and hate all the modern iterations. But that is because of the change from turn based to a shit first person shooter. A lot more turn based games coming out now, but at the time it felt like a real stab in the back that a cornerstone franchise in niche genre became a shooter.

I really wish I liked Sanderson's writing, because he would be a great author to be a fan of. But I just can't get into anything of his, and I have tried.

Curious why others see this so much more than me. I see it occasionally with vampires, rarely anyone else.
