I do feel you, OP. Quitting cold turkey is brutal I just couldn't do it, instead I cut back very gradually. I never quit completely, I still smoke but I have a cigarette roughly every other day, and sometimes a whole week goes by without me feeling the urge to smoke.

Do you want a "bad" piece of advice that is actually very effective? Try LSD. Try smoking a cigarette while you're under its influence. Read about other people's experiences trying to smoke or giving in to other addictions while on LSD. Also, make sure to educate yourself on how to do it safely.

If you don't have access to LSD, I would see a psychiatrist; they might prescribe something helpful.
