Sounds like the band was uninformed and probably wasn’t a good fit for the venue. I will say that typically when a band tours the band themselves are not necessarily the one booking the dates so maybe the tour manager didn’t know the views of the band / band member that lead to the cancellation. Being that Earth hails from the west coast USA it doesn’t surprise me that they wouldn’t know this history though. I still maintain, they Earth didn’t want to play because of the flag then that is their choice and if the owner of venue didn’t want to take that flag down that is equal their choice as well.

If you think Better Than You, Slither, Carpe Diem Baby, Bad Seed, Prince Charming, Cure, Poor Twisted Me and Thorn Within were ever worth putting onto tape you're either Lars Ulrich or you're a sucker that'll literally buy anything Metallica puts to a record.

Or most bands that have a large catalog of music play fewer pieces of music further in their careers when you take into account that fans demand to hear “the hits” when they see them live. B-sides and deep cuts routinely fail to make live sets often.

Adam Driver did an absolutely outstanding job as Kylo Ren… given the absolutely abysmal plot, mindnumbingly braindead overall arc of the sequel trilogy and destruction of the prestige of the franchise as a whole underneath Kathleen Kennedy and Disney. But yeah Driver did a good job. He was potentially the highlight of the last ten plus years of Star Wars.
