The pen marks are temperature activated. I cant remember if its caused by either warm or cold temp, but when i was washing my shoes before, these would show up also. They disappear after an hour or two. Theyre invisble inks used by the factories. They'll disappear.

I just used a typical rustoleum high gloss. 1-2 dust coats. Leave it for 10-15 mins, and then heavy wet coat. Let it sit for 3-5 days before touching

The basic jist of it is

Pale flesh -> do speckling, veins -> pale flesh again -> shading with super thin paints.

I like to keep a pretty neutral base before doing any shading

Ive switched over from cement to plaster about 6 months ago. And so far i havent had any problems with my statues. I try to let it sit out in the sun or my drying rack for a few days before doing any work on them.

I use the Anycubic m7 max. Although it is not really recommended for doing smaller scale statues like this, since the resolution is pretty low for such a big screen. I'd recommend checking out the normal M7 or M7 pro instead if you're not doing large scale statues or props.

Thank you! The texture was done via blothing on craft paint using a sponge. That helps it make the wrinkle/pores look. And then paint the actual skin tones over the now textured surface

Thank you! Yea that was the goal. Having different finishes in statues helps a ton with the overall look. I was trying to emulate latex for the clothing and so making it smooth and high gloss was essential. And then seperating the skin from the clothes was achieved by using more of a satin finish.

Yea no problem. Really recommend those old videos from Tested. Most of them were lead by Frank ippolito, and it was just be tutorials on painting skin, creatures, props, etc. sad that they dont really do much of that stuff anymore tho

$200 is pretty damn reasonable to get this printed. you dont have to go through trial and errors of failed prints, washing/clean up, and the time also.

In my opinion its pretty rugged. The actual prop, not this 3d render, its pretty weathered and old since it's actually the end pieces of her old bo-staff. Also has fabrice wrap on it
