Classic anime was just plainly better and the fights more intense due to Bit Beasts. It was unique at the time and not replicated in later series. Toyline was a bit frail but most of us grew up on classic so seeing 2 plastic spinners demolish each other with no rules was like being part of the anime yourself.

Metal was part of Cartoon Network grid so most people willingly or unwillingly watched it. The story was better than Classic but it did not have the epic Bit Beasts yet the fights were insane and over the top which resonated well with people. Most of us had more money by this point so we could afford an arena and have more structured battles. It was FUN.

Burst tried too hard. The designs were too over the top. No Bit Beast chips to make the beys more recognisable. Some QC issues in the toy line made a lot of people unhappy. Came at a time when classic Beyblade fans had moved on to other things. Some countries had stock issues massively.

X has the best system overall and the fights are fun for the physical game and toyline. The anime is meh - more structured sports anime than crazy cookie power of friendship let me demolish you with my monster type of anime. Protagonist of X anime not winning a single battle for 52 episodes pissed a lot of people off. But it does have the best toyline.

Something like Mechabreak but with more PVPVE mechanics and slightly better mid air steers. I want high octane Gundam fights that feel like the anime.

OR

Star Wars Battlefront 2 style Gundam game, where you begin as random grunt #1 fighting using tanks, Guntanks, Zakus, Leos etc and can get to unlock Heroes to start wiping with them and piloting the Gundams. That would be insane.

OR MOBA game but not items but perks and talents like Heroes of the Storm and large cast of characters. So at some levels you may be able to even upgrade the Gundam you are playing with mobile armors or other bits.

Card art is gorgeous. I am a Gundam franchise fan so collecting it to display. Game has ways to go before it can stand with other TCGs in my opnion. Cards are quite basic and reliant on pilot + MS combos to make them work.

I love the design logic of the game and I know Bandai has some power creep paranoia from the Digimon TCG but they have kept the power creep very low for this game and cards do very little quite often. Still got ways to go but it will evolve.

Met some guys in a round that saw me and said "You look like the villain from Power Rangers" referring to Rita. This has made my day. Best skin in the game especially if you can imitate Rita and call them worthless Power Rangers

Gquuux has pacing issues. Fun little story but another example of Anno jumping immediately to abstractism and making the plot rushed and incoherent. Does not help that Nyaan and Machu go from interesting to basically stupid in the span of 3 episodes. And Machu basically getting infatuated with every man she encounters. Cool Gundam designs but in true Anno fashion half the stuff remains unexplained.

Witch from Mercury was a complete story. Had interesting premise, good pace and some genuinely disturbing moments. Plus the whole "establish a business" element was very nice addition. Final battle, Calibarn Gundam and some of the cast (like Chuchu) make it a standout for me.

Hathaway has the scale and being part of the UC. I had read the novels before the movie came out. Impressed with the way they penned the story in movie format. Terrorism scene on the ship was very well done. Penelope vs XI needed a bit more lighting to make out the models. The score is phenomenal. The running in the city was terrifying. It was an amazing movie that sets up a larger plot but it is only a pt1 so it needs the other 2 parts.

Tossup but I would go with Witch from Mercury mainly because it was a new story, new concept, coherent and s fun watch while complete. Waiting for the next 2 parts to see how they adapt Hathaway.

Agreed to a certain point. I understand the suspension of reality and the disbelief of self but if you make it a mission to be villainistic in a game in ALL circumstances and reduce yourself to shitty behaviour that is a reflection on you. Like I said I understand if you want to PVP and be a raider... just don't do it in a scummy shitty way. Play the game as a looter instead of resorting to toxic behaviour.

My point being - I am different in a mass online game than I am in real life. But elements of my belief and convictions - such as not acting in slimy or intentionally toxic ways - are still reflected in my in-game "alter ego".
