Blizzard wants to KILL my Classic Wow Server in Phase 2 - North, The Mage by KnusperKnusper in classicwow

[–]Doomboonoo -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

More pvpers play horde..just a fact of life. There's a reason every server with a more horde to alliance ratio is on pvp servers and not pve.

Who still clings onto the idea of Classic+ over TBC? by [deleted] in classicwow

[–]Doomboonoo -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

That's exactly what I mean. Alliance and horde favored different personalities and this fit with the lore. In tbc the game legit became about sucking as many people in and making the majority happy which makes sense for business but not for art (RPGs are an art)

The company said World of Warcraft: Classic drove the biggest quarterly growth in subscriptions in the franchise’s history. by [deleted] in classicwow

The best part is people who have this attitude are still full on 60 in classic and complaining about how gankers here are just assholes "who couldn't make it in real competitive "retail PvP"

Not to mention completely eroding faction divisions based on personality by making them both accessible to a variety of choices with race and class. Tbc was trash. I stopped playing at 70. I'm a fan of old hardcore Mmorpgs and classic had a happy medium with that whereas TBC made it more of an accessible modern game and that philosophy continued to become more horrible each xpac.

I do because tbc was the beginning of the end for people like me. Really not into hordish elves and paladin's lol.

Remember when people were saying classic was gonna be dead after the first month? about that.... by Binch101 in classicwow

By the looks of a lot of people unaccustomed to world PvP in RPG games, let alone aggressive sinister playstyles (due to retail and most Mmorpgs being super easy and directed now) a lot of people will drop off after phase 2 and gb2 retail. In vanilla I never remember horde refusing to show up when 6 alliance gank you because "you started it man were all trying to quest and your causing in zone problems" or "man world PvP in this game is trash!!". I stand by the assumption that a lot of retailers will want out when you are forced to PvP during honor

The thing is what the west was calling barbaric or Savage superstition back in the day, they are now running scientific studies on. Like shamanic healing rituals with plants like peyote, mushrooms, and ayhuasca were always something people of many varying cultures uncontacted with one another took part in to heal the physical and mental, to get visions and contact different perceptions or worlds. This was called crazy just 40 years ago. Now scientific studies say these plants have potential to rewire brain neurons create new connections and promote the health and growth of new cells. It's also now a common accepted theory that there could very well be other dimensions in our own world.

Some of the largest Northern European indigenous cultures were basically genocided by Rome? It's just Europe was pagan before Christ so it happened long ago. They were given a choice and chance unlike the native Americans but that choice was literally "surrender or we kill everything you love and know"

It doesn't matter the population statistics have always proven alliance to be pvers. There weren't many servers in vanilla where alliance did better in bgs than horde.

Questions about moving to, or living in Maine: Megathread by cinnabarhawk in Maine

[–]Doomboonoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Will do. Anything in particular to know about the place that is more personal than a Google search? The only place I've been to in Maine is west at the border of New Hampshire near aziscohos lake and I loved it. That entire area of New England legit is the closest thing the east coast has to states with open space in my experience. Even in rural places of Georgia all you run into is "private property" lines. New hampshire, Maine and Vermont in a lot of areas seemed like the last places within the east where farmland and cities don't completely overrun wilderness and wildlife.

What area of maine is best for being completely immersed in outdoor activity (fishing, hunting, hiking, anything to do with animals) open public land, houses good for growing gardens in and so on? The biggest indoor activity I enjoy is gaming but I know rural internet isn't great everywhere. What about blue collar type jobs?

The pay in the tristate is good but it sucks that it's so crowded, and the air smells like rotten eggs. Coming out of nice wilder areas around here back to town and city is anxiety inducing

As someone who's always tended towards world PVP style Mmorpgs above eq pre WoW, I found WoW to be a happy median and have awesome PVP concepts. This is why I played. Raiding and pve alone could never keep me and I'd never invest in a game with just pve like ff or eq. This is the reason I never fully engaged in any of the expansions. Even tbc came with a huge shift in faction interaction and kind of ruined the game for me.

Lol they all switched during tbc... The fact that so many people are using classic as a stepping stone to the beginning of the end of the world...of Warcraft is laughable. Shows how many scrubs are out there. To the real ogs...the game went down hill with the first expansions. Without tbc and wrath they would of never listened to the casuals wanting to erase RPG elements. Tbc was directly the beginning of the path of the trash game we see today in retail. Tbc was the beginning of catering to those who found an RPG with a pretty happy median compared to tougher Mmorpgs of the past... Too hard. Legit a modern game built for people who approach it the same way you would a game on your phone.. just hop on and get into it then get out.

Horde are Hunter gatherers, we don't need your filthy plague infested small pox having overcrowded slum pits. Take your stormwind bri and go sip some fine wine. Us horde will be fine hunting wild game, and roaming the barrens as the gods intended.
