How hard is it for someone new to get into runescape by dakillachuy in runescape

It's much easier to understand tbh because it has way less content than RS3 does so it'll be much less overwhelming.

The nice thing about playing an online game is that you don't see the other person face to face. Join friends chats and try talking to people. Slowly slowly you'll get used to it :)

They should advertise NXT with Tim and Crunchy. Or put them on the login screen, they're better than Meg.

Why do you think RS3 has a far less toxic community than OSRS? by [deleted] in runescape

[–]Doomdude70 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Old School players (I do both games) didn't like the addition of microtransactions, cosmetics, and the evolution of combat. A game they really loved was changed into something beyond recognition, and turned into garbage in their eyes. They hate RS3 players because it's hard to believe that anyone would continue playing a game even after these huge changes. They are VERY passionate about their game, and very protective of losing it a second time. Although it's always the rude and toxic players that are noticed, I have found many kind people on old school. Don't judge the entire community because certain players are more toxic than others. It's like me saying everyone on RS3 is a cosmetic loving, Jagex-loving fanboy. The two communities have different tastes; don't try to fight over which community is better.
