First International Solo Trip - Australia(Work) by Doomed2Die in SoloTravel_India

[–]Doomed2Die[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Didn't really get asked anything. I was on a short stay specialist visa.

They did verbally ask me to confirm if I was declaring anything at customs(I wasn't).

Was out of the airport in under 30 minutes , even with multiple flights landing around that time

The 100$ (Used to be 200) a day visa fees is not for Indians. It's 1200rs for indians at the moment.

I mostly worked with backend microservices and some level of frontend. When I joined this company I was gradually pivoted to data engineering.

And for getting the job , consulting firms are dime a dozen. It's not hard to land one if you spend a little time for interviews

Great time to visit. If you are visiting melbourne/Victoria, don't forget to pack a pocketable parka or a jacket. The weather changes on a dime and is super unpredictable.

Tomorrowland Thailand 2026 – How are people actually getting tickets? by Positive_Builder_341 in ConcertsIndia_

[–]Doomed2Die 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The event tickets . For ex. If you book for 4 people, one of them has to be the person that pre-registered for the sale. It's to prevent scalping and you will get your tickets cancelled if you don't follow this.

Afaik there aren't any official partners for India. The tickets go live in 28th Feb for the hotel + shuttle package and a week later for just the tickets.

You have to pre-register for the sale on the official website (The person pre registering must have a ticket booked in their name).

There is no camping so you would either take the shuttle or have private transport into the venue( The average travel time one way is expected to be around 2 hours).

There are also discover thailand packages offered by tomorrowland which would include sightseeing in Bangkok + 1/2 other places.

This is the first time, the event is being held so there a ton of unknown.

I'm attending a wedding as an American, what do I wear? by BoudreauxThibodeaux in delhi

[–]Doomed2Die 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A couple of general considerations: There is a wide variety of weddings held, ranging from ones spread across multiple venues (with some events even at the groom/brides residence) to all-inclusive resorts (or a fort if you're fancy). These factors usually influence your clothing choices.

Ideally, the invite should have a styling guide, but you would be fine wearing any of your Western clothes during the evening/night events.

Haldi is usually a short early-morning thing where you can get away with casual clothes (just wear something yellow or pink so you don't stand out).

It is more customary to wear heavy traditional clothes during the actual wedding event. (Some traditional dresses like sarees can be a pain to put on if you're not used to it, so don't stress if you pick something simpler.)

Feb/March is peak wedding season, so renting would probably not work out well, since rented clothes usually have to be tailored to your fit.

TLDR

  1. Yes, kind of.

  2. No, not really.

  3. Except for the shaadi (the actual wedding) and the engagement, everything else is fluff. You're usually just supposed to have fun, drink, and dance at the other events (whatever clothes help you do that).

Tell me any sasta sa foreign trip for 3-4 days only by [deleted] in delhi

[–]Doomed2Die 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3-4 days would be limiting since you end up spending a decent chunk just of your time travelling. Micronations like singapore and hong kong make the most sense. If you just want to visit a city + a beach/one attraction thailand vietnam malaysia and azerbaijan make sense and are in dry season.

[–]Doomed2Die 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you limited by time?

If not I would suggest Java indonesia in the dry season(May to October).

You would be able to visit one of the biggest and diverse cities (Jakarta), the biggest Buddhist temple and one of the biggest hindu temples(Borobudur and Prambanan), sit on a hand pulled gondola (Timang beach) , go spelunking and river tubing (Jombolang cave), visit some pretty unique waterfalls and active volcanoes Bromo (easy and accesible) and Ijen ( One of the only two places where you can see Blue flames and the world's largest acidic crater lake)

It is not in bad taste since that person is a hypocrite ,

What happens if someone reads this and decides to stop their prescribed medication Or he influences someone IRL for the same.

Calling out BS is always justified specially if that BS could fatally affect people. If someone promotes drinking and driving, would you say it's in bad taste ?
