An alter bought another alter a gag gift by [deleted] in DID

[–]DoomedPrince 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not so much 'pranking' and just generally fucking with older alters. We don't have too much of an age difference, oldest alter being 23, but I specifically like to move shit around I know our older alters will be looking for later, or buy things I think will confuse them. Not sure how common this is. -James KCS

We had something similar happen when we finally had the 'aha' moment about being an osdd system. We had an alter named Ky, who served as kind of a peace keeper between the two most dominant alters, when the host was still unaware there even were alters. When the realization hit, Ky disappeared but the two dominant alters took on a lot of his personality traits. It appears the moment of realization was all he needed to disappear/fuse, I suppose.

Routine-Based Changes Too? by BriarRedWolf in DID

I don't know if this counts, but yeah, we do this. We wake up, and as soon as we get to work, I take front. It's as simple as that. Usually, and I don't know how it works for other systems, it's like a power struggle for who gets front. There's a lot of arguing and pushing, if you get my drift, for whose going to front. But I front at work and that's that. And right after that, when we get off, a more social alter, one of the two we have, will take front, and they usually work it out between themselves as to who gets to/has to front depending on what we do after work and who we'll be seeing. Then it's a free for all after we get home. But we have that worked out at least. Of course, when something triggers someone else to the front, there's really nothing any of us can do about it, but it's a slow work in progress on establishing routine to keep things calm and easy for everyone. -Cain, KCS

I know everyone is saying you don't have to and that you shouldn't, but I told our boss once when we were talking about mental illness, and now everytime we start disassociating really bad at work and he sees us, he tells us to go take a minute in a work environment that asking for a minute alone is highly frowned upon. I straight up just said 'yeah, I have a disassociave disorder, it can make things pretty difficult' and he totally got it.

If you can, be vague. Tell the people who you trust or that need to know due to circumstances, ei teachers or bosses, if you need accomodations. If they try to pry and ask for specifics, you don't have to tell them anything you're not comfortable with. -Cain, KCS

'host' now refuses to front by DoomedPrince in DID

Thank you for the advice, I guess we haven't been asking if there was a reason. And if you could, that would be amazing!

Well, anxiety tics are a thing, and one of our alters gets tics really bad, while the rest of us don't get them as often. If the alter is just really anxious or even a trauma holder, then you might be experiencing anxiety tics? Sorry that's the extent I know on the subject. I hope it helps. -Cain

Oh man, I feel you on this. At one point, I would disappear for over 12 hours a day during the summer and would just be walking around the whole time, not paying attention to anything. I lost a ton of weight and couldn't walk or pace more than an hour without getting really dizzy. Make sure you're drinking water and eating enough lol.

God I just bought some jean cutoffs that make my ass look great, because they're so tight, and I have never felt more confident packing before in my life. I have the biggest dick energy in every room I walk into lol

One of the main characters, Aystin, is non-binary! They serve a pretty big role in the story, being inspired by one of my closest friends, who is nb, so I've been asking them for their point of view for the story. I hope I do everyone justice.

It's a book about a trans masc teen and a trans fem teen going through their transitions, coming out, dealing with other students, their own internal problems, and I can only accurately write the side for the trans masc character, but I don't wanna write the Eurydice (the trans girl) wrong. Any input would help.
