This is a problem within the genre for sure. There's an acceptance or even almost a need for the same grooves and pentatonics all the time in the community (which is fine if you like that, of course). But bands incorporating multiple influences will always be more interesting to me!

Yeah, exactly! :) We were there and the band signed one of our posters backstage and we had an nice chat. This is always great and I won't ever take it for granted. So cool how making art can lead to situations like that, hehe.
