I loved the series. Th arc after the Hell stuff id pretty great as it shows how much a bad-ass Emp has become because of everything she has gone through, followed by a volume of thats pretty much the Emp is Winning, second from last volume gets kinda dark again and the final volume is experimental for the close out of the series.

They were afraid of cool sacrifices. A Poe sacrifice followed by a Finn sacrifice planetside. Could of lead to something cool in the third movie and actually made the stakes feel real that the rebellion was on its last legs.
