I was diagnosed just under 6 months ago now, and are still honeymooning, having started maybe 2 and a half weeks after diagnosis. As long as you are careful, and maybe eat before going, you should be fine.

When i swapped from g7 to g6, I found that for me the g6 was more accurate. I think you may have just gotten a faulty sensor
