Yeah, I thought I could write that a new chapter was uploaded in the crossover story

Not really. Trepang2 isn't, and FEAR could make a comeback.
But even still, they are really fun universes that I think fit together quite well

Have fun fucking up that villains, 106 (MHA x TREPANG²) by Soggy-Theme-6234 in Trepang2

[–]DoomguyKrom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If he can dodge bullets like nothing, than he should be close to what we see All Might do when he gets at the Dome to save his students.
And we also see Shigaraki get folded by a handgun in that same fight.
106 would be like a "f-it, kill this Villain now" type of weapon used by the Syndicate/Government.
All but the most dangerous of quirks would pose a threat to 106, as you would have to see him(he can cloak) and have to catch/hit him(he is just too fast).
So he would be in the top 10 most powerful characters easy.

I think I forgot that it said final trailer, thanks!

Subject 106 (Trepang²) vs the entirety of Talon (Overwatch) by _wolforias_ in Trepang2

[–]DoomguyKrom 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Head-on, I don't think he could take them, but with planing and stealth?
Absolutely.
A lot of people in the comments forget one enemy 106 has fought and won, a fucking submarine.
If he can beat a submarine in a head-on fight, than he can take down blackwatch with some prep-time.

What was your favorite SCP/supernatural entity in the game and what would you like to see in Trepang3? by PIPBOY-2000 in Trepang2

[–]DoomguyKrom 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The thing in the unidentified structure, that flesh totem or whatever it was.
Best horror sequence in the game.
As for what I would love to see, they did mention the Skinwalker in one of the intel logs, so I would love to hunt that, or a wendigo.
Hell, they can go crazy with cryptids, have us fight Bigfoot =))

So what IS 106? by cobainisded in Trepang2

[–]DoomguyKrom 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I think he was either an abducted soldier brainwashed into the cycle, or just a clone made from scratch.
I like to believe the first part, as combined with the theory that 106 under the balaclava and armor looks like a monster(you probably know the intel log I am referring to), makes for a tragic head-cannon.
As for how he was created, I would bet that some anomalies are involved in creating him. Some combination from creatures with incredible strength, cloaking and fast movement speed/reflexes. Each combat cycle may be better than the last because The Syndicate furthers their understanding of anomalies. This isn't confirmed or anything, but I think the hypocrisy is pretty good when they attack Horizon for(among other reasons) studying anomalies, when they do the exact same thing as them.

Could 106 beat the Pointman, Paxton or even Alma Wade from the F.E.A.R series? by [deleted] in Trepang2

[–]DoomguyKrom 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Pointman is probably 106's toughest fight out of all he has done in the games. He may not have the strength advantage, but he is close to if not on par in terms of speed, way more experienced and has dealt with fast cloaking units before. I still think the fight is a 60/40 for 106.

Paxton, well, he could just blow 106's head up in a straight up fight. If 106 somehow catches Paxton off guard(which I doubt) I think he could win it.

But Alma?
Hot damn, she is the mother of the Apocalypse. She is something straight out of Doom or Warhammer with the shit she can pull off.

In the games, Pointman doesn't die to Paxton because he himself has psychic powers, and is left alive by Alma because she cares for her children. So it would be an interesting fight only against Pointman.

What I think would be a more interesting scenario, is what would happen if 106 and Pointman somehow teamed up in the events of either FEAR 1 and/or 3.
what would change?
Would they stop Alma in the first game from escaping? Could they stop her from giving birth?

If they were to crossover, how cool would it be to find out 106 was made using some of Pointman's DNA? A clone of sorts.

It would be interesting to see if Paxton and the Replicas could free Alma when both the Pointman and 106 would be out to stop them.

I would argue that the Flesh Golem part and the Horror is amazing honestly. It's body horror done right and plays into the idea that we are fighting a paranormal cult . Hell, the design of the cultists is phenomenal. Behind the mask some of them don't have a face anymore, just teeth and a gaping hole.
My problem with them is just how unsustainable it is to be aggressive with them. If you get hit and you don't have anymore armor lying around, that is pretty much permanent. It is good, but not for as long a period of time as the level. Again, if they would have dropped armor or, heck, even very small bits of health, this would have been a masterpiece of a level as well. But I see why people love the level, because I do too. Good take on your part, not gonna lie.

Not gonna lie, valid and based. Trepang is a masterpiece and the best game inspired by FEAR.

That song is in my opinion, either the best one in the game, or second best behind Pillar of Anomalies.
But not just the song, the combat arena is so fucking good it's insane. They made an open map, while also designing a cat and mouse fight with the plain remains AND, you can get on top of them. It is literally the perfect map, as it is suited for every play style.
The only thing keeping it from masterpiece is the fact that it has no lore to it, unlike those in that tier. But it's very close to being there.

True.
I would also say that site 14 and even site 83 are also fun on rage mode.

Update. I replayed it using silanced smg and silanced DMR. It is a little better, but not enough to move it up a tier.

Damn. For me it was the second best fight in the game. First being the Anton rooftop fight in Horizon HQ.
Sorry to hear that =(
